I went into Jupiter. It looked good, too crowded to get a seat. The most bizarre thing to me was that after the game, at a little past 9 Pacific, a good portion of the establishments on "Restaurant Row" in Berkeley were closed. It is. Jupiter is owned by the same company and they have a great patio with a fire pit. Good food and beer too. I go there before basketball games (when i can stomach it that is).
Hey Droski, what's up with that one "treewok" (they showed him on TV) that is sitting up there protesting the destruction of the trees, only to be holding an econo-pack of toilet paper???
Talk about losing all credibility!

I was in line at waiting to get food/drink (in terribly cramped/mall concourses positioned badly I might add) and two of the ladys running the stand refused to sell anything to people in UT gear(Atleast until the Cal fans had been served apparently?). One lady, who was pregnant, was getting dehydrated at the time and they refused to serve her any water. I don't know how anyone could be this idiotic. Luckily, one of the Cal fans around that saw this had the decency to go and buy it for her seeing this lady was just plain stupid.
I also had trouble getting my order taken... I sat in line for drinks for atleast 30 minutes while the people up front would ask Cal fans what they wanted first and ignoring me until I was basically all that was left with a few more scattered people.
Like most people said - inside the stadium the fans were as classless as I've seen (@ georgia/bama/s. carolina) but they seemed fairly quiet and reserved outside with the acception of a few drunks, skinny hispanic thugs who wanted to start fights, and some crazy, scrawny bald guy that followed us for half a mile tapping me with a cardboard sign repeating "how does it feel to be 0-1?" But of course I had plently of witty comebacks to finally scare the man off.
amazing. If you could email the athetic department with a description of the person and your story you would be doing us all a big favor. I'm hoping they are taking care of this stuff because it is getting ridiculous. Adminstration email: bearback@berkeley.edu
You guys seem to not be listening about the cheering during the injury - it was tucked away in the far corner of the field, where the entire play was mostly hidden from view of most of the student section, and the young alumni section. Most of us Cal fans had no idea anyone was injured until a good long time, and when we did figure it out, we even cheered 3 times for the guy - in a gesture to make up for it - everytime we thought he was gonna get up.
Yeah - it has already been done. Not by me but by the family.. I had never seen a thing like this in my life - but I know it's not a reflection of most Cal fans.. just thought I'd bring up one of my more 'interesting' experiences on our trip.
Droski, you should teach a seminar on how to be an opposing fan with class. there's a great need for that in the state of Alabama.
every time there is a big game they run out of food. I don't understand how this continues to happen. apparently they ran out of water. GREAT. :disappointed: I'm also told they closed a gate because of the tree sitters, so people had a hard time getting out. Brilliant decision. Let's try to protect 10 retards and endanger the lives of 70K people. This is a bit of a sore subject for me.![]()
