I am baptist so strongly agree with baptism. Way of showing you have excepted the lord as your savior and your faith.

As far as salvation its the abc.s

A-admit your a sinner
B-Believe jesus died for you
C-confess your sins

If you do all this and put jesus in your heart then you are saved.

This is something I've never understood. I thought the Baptist sect was started because there was a Christian faction that insisted baptism was necessary for salvation. Is that not correct?

In your opinion:

Can one be saved sans baptism? Sans the acceptance of Jesus?

Is heaven reserved only for those who have either been baptized or have deliberately accepted Jesus?

Baptists come from the Anabaptists. The Anabaptists disagreed with infant baptism; baptism should be deliberately chosen by the one being baptized.

I can keep up just find but I figured the part you were really interested in was the part you bolded. Silly assumption on my part I guess

I believe he said the Feds would go after things the state is trying to supersede. Is that not what you saw as "tyranny"?

Like marijuana?

No, you have to accept jesus as your lord and savior. Baptism is an obediance. Jesus was the example when john baptized him and filled his righteousness.

Yes, like answer one. If you believe god sent his only son to die for you and you accept him in your heart your saved.

Imo yes because thats what im taught. You have to let jesus into your heart. Which simply means you believe in all I mentioned above.

Let's say someone has a revelation, opens his heart to Christ, and confesses his sin and his need for salvation. On his way to the Church to get baptized, he is killed in a car accident. Is he in good standing, or is the act of baptism crucial?

No he is good. No diff than someone on their death bed accepting him.

Acts ch 10. Roman centurion is saved and un baptized. It does not state that he and his family are an exception.

Its church of Christ who teach Baptism required salvation.
Edit this was an answer to the Baptist question but the quote did not post.

Does a fetus have a soul? If you answer yes, it means that every miscarried soul is kept out of Heaven, according to your theological viewpoint.

Yes, but that soul was never witnessed to or taught about jesus. So how is it fair that soul is not let into heaven? I can understand where you are coming from though.

In Chattanooga last year a drunk driver killed a woman who was 16 weeks pregnant. He pled guilty to 2 counts of vehicular manslaughter. So currently under the law its murder/manslaughter when someone else kills the baby but not when mom orders a Dr to do it.

Correct. That law should be changed.

Wasn't Scott Peterson also charged with 2 counts of murder?
