Abolish ICE Movement

Nearly half in top 5 U.S. cities don’t speak English at home, record 67 million

Nearly half of the residents in the nation’s five biggest cities do not speak English at home, choosing instead their native language, according to the latest Census Bureau data that details the impact of a decade of soft immigration policies.

Overall, a record 67 million do not speak English at home, said the bureau. That is nearly double in 27 years.

In its just-released analysis of the Census data, the Center for Immigration Studies said, “As a share of the population, 21.8 percent of U.S. residents speak a foreign language at home — roughly double the 11 percent in 1980.”

The Center added, “In America's five largest cities, 48 percent of residents now speak a language other than English at home. In New York City and Houston it is 49 percent; in Los Angeles it is 59 percent; in Chicago it is 36 percent; and in Phoenix it is 38 percent.”

The findings come as more and more reports emerge about both Americans and foreigners getting into heated debates over speaking English.

In one case in New York last May, a man threatened to call immigration police if employees and customers didn’t stop speaking English in a restaurant. Last week, in Florida, a Taco Bell patron was turned away because a worker said nobody spoke English and couldn’t take the order.

Report: Chain Migration Used to Import Entire Family Villages of Foreigners

The New York Times is admitting that the process known as “chain migration” — whereby newly naturalized citizens can bring an unlimited number of foreign relatives to the U.S. — is being used to import entire small villages of extended foreign families.

The Times published a report on two men from India that have used the U.S. legal immigration system to bring their entire extended families to the country for no other reason than the fact that they are related.

The Times reports how one legal immigrant from India was able to eventually bring nearly ten foreign relatives to the country with now more than 90 family members benefiting from chain migration:

We're so "diverse" .

MIT STUDY: THE NUMBER OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS COULD BE DOUBLE PREVIOUS ESTIMATES

The true number of illegal immigrants living in the U.S. — long a subject of intense debate — could be twice as high as commonly accepted figures, according to a study by a Massachusetts Institute of Technology researcher.

The study published Friday by Mohammad Fazel-Zarandi, a senior lecturer at MIT’s Sloan School of Management, estimates there are about 22.1 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. today. Most frequently cited estimates put the number between 11 and 12 million.

Such a wide discrepancy is explained by deficiencies in the methods researchers have used to arrive at previous estimates, according to Fazel-Zarandi. In the past, researchers typically extrapolated the total number of illegal immigrants from population surveys and legal immigration records.

Fazel-Zarandi and his colleagues used mathematical modeling based on “operational data” — border apprehensions, deportations, visa overstays and demographic data — to arrive at their estimate. The approach eliminated the uncertainty found in methods that rely on surveys, which are a less reliable gauge of the illegal immigrant population, according to Fazel-Zarandi.

MS-13 gang tied to beating, stabbing of Maryland girl, 14: police

A 14-year-old girl was forced to strip naked and then was butchered with a machete by MS-13 gang members who then dumped her body in a creek bed. They were wanted by ICE, but Prince George's county wouldn't cooperate because they're a 'sanctuary'. Not a peep about this in the MSM

Why not do away with all laws, the democRats seem to ignore all laws anyway.
Perhaps a better solution is to do away with all DemocRats once and for all!
I’m in!

Thanks for such nice well wishes this holiday weekend!

Picking up steam with some Dems. Personally, I don't think it's a good issue to take up in an election year. Makes them easy target of the facile "open borders" claim.

Movement to 'Abolish ICE' heating up, going mainstream - CNNPolitics

I was sorry to see the Dems lining up in one of the debates to declare themselves in favor of decriminalizing undocumented immigration. That is open borders. With a hundred thousand a month, Democrats want to turn Border Patrol into what, meter maids and social secretaries who hand out addresses and appointments. I really want to beat the Republicans, because they do not care about anything but power and money, do not care about anyone but the super rich. But Democrats throw the election by supporting open borders. They must be crazy.

All but one sentence in this indicates you have wandered off the reservation. Time to be re-indoctrinated.

Both sides are guilty of power corruption. To believe only the Republicans are at fault is foolish.

Yep. Free stuff vs. work for your stuff.

Nope. It is get what we pay for and need from our tax dollars or continue to support welfare for the super rich, so they can take the money out of circulation and hide it in offshore, tax sheltering banks. There is already an estimated twenty-one Trillion dollars in offshore tax shelters. The super wealthy cover their extreme profit extraction from our economy by blaming the poor for all our problems, and you swallow their sales job hook, line, and sinker. FYI, that offshore money is hidden from taxation. The totals are roughly equal to the national debt.

Prove it.

Still: free stuff vs. work and earn your stuff.

Free choice vs. government knows best.

Personal responsibility vs. product of your environment.

You talk about working for stuff and then tell me to do your work for you. You do not know these things because you do not want to know them. Why should I waste my time working to provide you with free stuff that you don't even want? The reality is that you are ignorant because you choose to be ignorant. I have told you what you need to know for getting on a search engine for answers. You either will or you won't, and we both know you won't.
