Abernathy, Kelly, Warrior: Who's the odd man out?

Not discussing Kelly here, comparison of Abernathy and Warrior. Agree TKJr is our slowest safety, that's evident. I think Warrior is by far our most athletic safety...that seems evident to me as well.

I don't disagree on the metrics. TKjr doesn't look as fast BUT he always seems to always be in position to make the play. And he has been like that since he was a true freshman.

Jerry Rice was a 4.7 guy w/o the ball and 4.2 guy w/ the ball. TKjr operates the same way from what I have seen.

Yes and no imo. TKJr definitely has a good nose for the ball, but I have to wonder how many plays he hasn't made/can't make due to his lack of athletic ability. If he had that elite explosiveness coupled with his knack for the ball he'd be an All-SEC caliber player imo.

All three of them will play. I feel like Warrior will start because of his freakish athleticism, upside, and legacy, as his Dad was Dale Carter. Kelly will start opposite to him, because he has been a three year player for us so far, and has been reliable. That solid, steady presence is something we need on this defense for them to he successful. He is also going into his Senior season, and is one of the defensive leaders. I really like Abernathy's nose for the ball and aggressiveness, so he should play also, but not as a starter. It doesn't help that he was out the entire spring.

Yeah anyone who thinks TK isnt going to start his senior year with mostly unproven players behind him is off their rocker. Theres no way he doesn't get the start.
