Just to be clear, ABC doesn’t have anything to do with it. The dispute is between ATT and Nexstar, which owns the ABC affiliate in Knoxville, but owns stations of all four networks across the country. They are all off at this point.

If you get an antenna, you can pick up ABC in Knoxville pretty easily over the air. We had to do that here in Atlanta last year when DTV was having a dispute with Tegna and my girlfriend had to watch The Voice.

Until I started renting it out as an Air B&B, we only had an antenna in our condo in downtown Knoxville since we were only there on game weekends, and never had an issue getting any of the locals over the air.

Problem is i live in BFE and picking up anything with an antenna isnt very likely. I will hope for the espn app to show it.

I have Direct TV but fortunately I will be there live so I won't miss it :).

I am not sure this is going to be a good game. Our hardest OOC opponent is UTSA an not UVA.

Last year, my son who is a Bama grad was missing the Bama games that were on CBS since he only has ROKU; I told him he could watch them on youtube. It blew my mind that I knew something like that, and he didn't.

You're awfully confident about that. At last check, Nexstar was seeking about a 300% increase in carriage fees and ATT/DTV was offering about 20%. I work in contract law and have some close connections to the parties here. This is a negotiation (or lack thereof) that is being closely watched in my industry.

Obviously you know more than me. I'm just going by the history of how these squabbles have been resolved, always a few days before a major viewing season

If we were talking before week one of the NFL season, I'd feel better since the majority of Nexstar stations are CBS and Fox. But even then, I'm not sure it's going to get done because neither side has budged from its initial contract demands.

ABC games....I either stream or go watch it at the bar...All the huge games are there ...hell no, this ain't a revenue thing ...... !

I wonder if you'll be able to watch the game on ABC in the ESPN app (with an ESPN subscription)?

I'm pretty sure that's been the case in the past, but I'm guessing in my case it's because I had linked my TV provider.
