Garner is a good hire just for recruiting, gives Heupel an in with HS coaches in the SE.

Agreed, plus I really do think hes a solid teacher....the best no....but dang good one of best teachers. Just my opinion

Yeah, Henry T is gone unfortunately. Dad already said it was a mistake choosing Tennessee the 1st time. Would love for us to have the last laugh if he goes to Bama. One of these storybook endings has to go our way eventually.

My wife and I talked to To'O To'O's Dad for quite awhile 2 years ago after the Vandy game and that statement seemed nothing like the way his Dad talked that night. He was overly appreciative of the fans, the University and the entire Tennessee experience. He went on and on about the way folks (fans) in Tennessee made them feel @ home even when they were so far away from their actual home. Just didn't seem like the kind of man that would make such a statement as that which was reported... IMO

The Toto's Dad tweet/statement has been called fake news by someone on TOS that spoke with his Dad and said it "wasn't true at all."

Hopefully that's true. There's been a lot of negativity directed towards Henry T. People say he has underperformed, well ok but it's not like we've had effective coaching going on for a long while, so I think he should get a pass on that. He's a contributor and 140 tackles is a lot. That goal line stand against Kentucky in 2019 was awesome. The pick 6 he had. I said early on don't let the door hit him on the way out but would really like to see him stay on here. Maybe he's just waiting to see what ends up of this defensive staff before making a decision.

Does it seem strange to anyone else that Heupel hired a DL coach and still does not have a DC? Usually the DC hires his own DL/LB coaches or at least has input on them. If you are a DC and Heupel comes to you and says "I want you to be DC but I already hired your DL coach and there is this guy named Steele you are going to need to figure out what to do with him". What would you think?

DC is already in Ktown. He was hired before the AD and HC!

I don't wish ill will on him, just don't want him going there and beating us.

Just curious but if he is “undersized” and already chose against bama once, why go there now? You’re a guaranteed starter and anchor on defense at UT and going into your junior year why transfer to bama who is probably as deep as any team in the country on D. Was my favorite player on the team so maybe I’m jaded but why start behind the 8 ball fighting for playing time against guys who have been there and in the system for two or three years.

He played much better as a Freshman before losing 20lbs. Didnt seem to make him any faster. I was thinking the same thing about him going there. Will have to fight for playing time. May just be chasing a championship. Or...could be he was being paid and the cash flow got cut off...

The change at LB coach didn't help him either IMO
