Aaron Douglas tells X off in final team meeting

According to John Brice of VolQuest on “The Nation” during X’s last team meeting with the team Aaron Douglas stood up and led the team. The exchange, according to Brice went like this:

X was telling them how sorry he was and that Tennessee meant a lot to him.

Then after O called the first recruit Douglas stood up and said, “Why is this guy calling OUR recruits?”

X responded: “I have no knowledge of that.”

Douglas then told the recruits to tell X what O did and they put O on speaker.

X: “I can’t control what Coach O does.”

Douglas: “Well you hired him didn’t you?”

Brice said this was the conversation minus the language he also said other players were impressed with his leadership and he was a great leader. I’m glad Aaron Douglas is in orange and white and he will be a great player for us.

Good for Douglas. Surprised most of the room didn't just get up and walk out on him, while the rest stood up and called him out. I think AD will be a great LT for us in the future, but now I'm glad to hear he's got the gusto to stand up and be a team leader.
