Aaron Douglas problem?

I wasn't speculating one way or another. I was simply pointing out that there have been rumors about this in this kid's past (whether true or not. That's why they call it a rumor). I played football at MHS and, though our times playing didn't overlap, it was close enough for me to still know plenty of mutual players that were not shy about propogating this rumor. Not saying it's true, but there was at least a little bit of smoke at the time.

and of course, you are not beyond flaming the fire!!:)

According to a very reliable source, Aaron is not happy with the new staff at all and has talked to my source about possibly transferring. I really hope he decides to stick it out, this kid is a beast and a good kid.

After reading this entire thread,I find it completely
irelevant and so full of BS that that i now need to see a thearapist to sort facts from fiction.:p:eek:lol:

Geez...how many negative stories surround this kid?

Do what they done off the program.. Send his ass to rehab and have him back by fall. When the new staff came in did the players get a clean slate or did the other failed test still count?

You do not get a clean slate.

His current total is 3 and I would be VERY surprised if he is a Vol in the Fall. In fact, I don't even think he will be a part of Spring practice.

IMO it is all but over.

Great, of all the players we have on this thin roster, Aaron Douglass was the last person we needed to lose. Un-freaking-believable

I would rather lose Janzen Jackson then our starting freshman LT and the only starter returning to possibly the worst Oline that UT will ever put on the field...

If all this is true, we do not need this piss poor attitude in the team...he can just go screw himself and destroy his life somewhere else. See ya! Don't let the door hit you on your way out! MORON!

First off, for young Mr. Douglass, get your head right and get on with the business of being the best damn offensive tackle in the NCAA!

Secondly, sorry for the noob question but WTF is TOS??

Jman

TOS = The Other Site or it could be Terrible Offensive Scheme in honor of Foolmore's coaching days.

this is true, hate to admit it but no denying it

Then he needs to go.

No coach, no player, and no fan are bigger than UT Football.

There was UT Football before Majors, Fulmer, Kiffin, Creer, Douglas, et. al.

And there will still be UT Football long after they are gone.

Tradition comes first. Honor it, or wish you had been part of it.

We each have that choice.

Go Vols.

DD is going to hold these boys accountable for their actions and Aaron is not an exception if he is not towing the line. It's time to grow-up boys and play some real football and represent your University well.

If he's looking for answers in a bottle then he'd probablly be looking for people to blame as well. My hope would be that as a fan base we can pray Aaron gets better. That may mean he isn't a part of the team and it sucks but I'd still rather see him ok.

Painkiller addiction is no joke guys. I've witnessed some very close ppl who had an extreme addiction to opiates in general and I can tell you it will take you down to places you'd think you'd never go. You will do things you never thought you'd do. If this is true I will pray for his family b/c it will take all the strength he has to fight it. May God bless him and his family. Stay strong Aaron!

Goodness, doesn't sound good for this kid. Sounds like he has some big time problems. If he needs to go, which it sounds like he does, we can replace him. He was going to be good, but it opens up a spot for James or Stone.

Sad for him and sad for the team, there truly is no spot on the team with more need. However, he does need our prayers. Hope this ends well...praying for him and his family now.

Not that it's all that relevant, but Dudley Dooley should have KEPT Cregg in the freakin' first place--a GOOD OL coach who wanted to stay at UT, from what I read. A little continuity is a good thing....This is not to excuse or rationalize the kid's problems--he needs serious rehab and therapy, it appears. I can't imagine he'll be on the team much longer--and that will be a major blow to an already shaky program.

my prayers go out to Aaron. sounds like his problems go much deeper than the football field. i hate to think of a kid wasting such a valuable opportunity, but im not walking in his shoes. i just hope he gets his **** together.

Guys this is rediculous what is our athletic program turning into. I am really starting to think that if this gets leaked out to ESPN then UT is gonna have a thug image in the NCAA. The events that have happened at UT over the past 2 or 3 years is getting rediculous.

If the painkiller stuff is true, why are we bashing the kid? He had two shoulder surgeries within a year of each other, it has nothing to do with him being a "thug" or anything like that. People you would never think could get hooked on painkillers, do get hooked on them. Football aside, let's just hope the kid can get through the addiction.

This isnt the end of the world...if he really is a drug addict then I dont want to see him playing. Hes not what I want to see representing the vols out on the field. I say kick him off the team and give somebody else a chance to play.
