Question.... Has Aaron Craft been suspended for his voluntary commission of an NCAA recruiting violation with respect to his attendance of the infamous Pearl barbeque? Based on my research it does not appear that he has been.

UT's McRae has been suspended for the same violation. Shouldn't Craft also be suspended? Whether or not the recruit actually attends the Institution in question does not matter!

It appears that there is double standard here!

no double standard..Craft was the one who turned over the info to matta...so he gets a free pass from the ncaa

Here is to Craft being a total bust!!!! He didn't even have the high recruiting stars till Tennessee offers. I hope everything short of him being hurt or death goes wrong with him. :spank:

Because once the NCAA had the picture and they interviewed Craft, he had two options -- tell the truth and have no eligibility issues, or cover up for Pearl and have eligibility issues. Pretty simple, really.

it does not effect Craft because he did not come to UT like McRae...

So if a recruit accepts "gifts" from a ncaa coach but does not attend that school, he cannot be punished because he didnt go to the offending institution?

As I said, the violation does not hinge on whether the recruit attends the school in question.

Who gave them the picture? You believe that Craft had nothing to do with them getting the picture?

You think it was Selby's mom? You do not believe it came from Craft and the OSU coaching staff? Wonder why Pearl did not call Selby's mom.

Pearl reacted emotionally...that was wrong...

Personally I am hoping something way worse than death befalls he and his dad. :) I am thinking along the lines of dipped in acid - fire ants and honey, etc. etc.

Really who would take and then turn over pictures -- after being informed that they shouldn't stop by in the first place. Rather than opine about every possible angle of CBP's activities -- some in the local media should interview the Crafts and get their take on what happened - was it innocent or orchestrated in their opinion. What led to their being investigated and turning over pictures to the NCAA, etc. Almost would have to be mom or dad snapping the pictures imo.

Pearl should know better than to do what he did in the first place. Bringing a recruit to your house and taking a picture with them, not knowing if they will attend your school for sure or not....ok, that's idiotic! Can't trust anybody, but shouldn't have done it in the first place, then you wouldn't have to rely on trust.
