"Bruce Pearl is a class, class guy," said Aaron's father John Craft. "I just spoke to him for 30 minutes and explained to him why Aaron has decided to open up his recruitment. He is just such a class guy and said he completely understood."

"The main issue is distance, and they told us they knew they were recruiting against distance from the very beginning," said Mr. Craft. "They knew it was something they would have to address right off the bat, so Pearl said it doesn't surprise him."

Despite the de-commitment, the Volunteers have definitely not been eliminated. "They asked if they could still recruit Aaron, and I told them that they have set the bar very high and that it will take a lot for someone to impress us more."

Outstanding. Use that and the other scholly for some big men.

We need an athletic center. Who was our last true center that we could count on game-in and game-out to be a scoring threat? I think Wingate could have been that guy if stayed away from the herb.

Unless we are surprised by a commitment from Jackson. No info, just hoping.

I don't think Wingate was ever that good, but losing him definitely hurt the '07 Vols.

Perhaps C.J. Black, when he would line up at center.

Bring in Joe Jackson! I'd like to land Dominique Ferguson, but I've heard he's leaning towards KY. Or maybe get Selby's teammate, Will Barton. The 2010 class will be Pearl's biggest class. Expect him to sign 6 possibly 7. Could go after in-state guys like Tarik Black and Casey Prather. This could potentially be a top 5 class. But we'll need some size.

I wonder if being upgraded to a 4* influenced Craft to explore his options.

Good I don't think this guy would be a factor anyway we could use another scholly for a good center. I don't think that really bothers Coach he knew he needed some more room to offer.

A large number of key players will be leaving, including Chism and Tyler (either now or next year). There will be 5-6 open schollies, maybe more if anyone leaves early next season.

A subpar recruiting year could send the program into a downward spiral. On the contrary, a great class could ensure us a highly competitive team for the next few years.

Chism, Tabb, Smith (if he stays), Maze, and Prince will all be gone so that's at least 5 scholars. Hopson could go pro, highly doubt it, even though some scouts/writers said he could go pro, still haven't seen it yet. Either way Jurick will likely leave. So were looking at signing maybe 6 guys for 2010.

what difference does the extra star make?

Well, most people would probably agree that if the "analysts" gave him another star then It probably means that he has shown quite a bit of improvement. Trust me, I know that stars don't mean anything and blah blah blah but to me it was exciti g just because it shows that he's been improving and that's what it's all about isn't it?

Add one if we make the APR grade.

It is 5, unless Tyler leaves now, and Jurick stays.
Then, it would be 4.
But, it becomes 5-6 if we make the grade.

More than that, of course, if someone else leaves early.
