Don't get me wrong guys, I still think Tenn. fans are classy. Just kinda personal because it was to my parents.

Nothing can compare to what I witnessed from Florida Fans a few years ago. I'm sorry ya'll have to deal with those people on yearly basis

ugh... disgraceful that you're not only a Volunteer but a Redskin. Even if your remark is in jest, it's in poor taste

Its in Jest as I would never do that, but...

Its a football game...

There are going to be drunk people, there are going to be stupid remarks. If you cant handle it, then stay at home, they have this great thing called HDTV, almost better than being there

To come on a message board and complain about our fans after our worst loss in 50 years is unnecessary... get over it

Congrats to Wyoming on the win. Nothing can take away the fact that your team, did, indeed, beat Tennessee. That much is certainly true.

Now, it's probably annoying when fans of the opposing team are calling your team's victory the worst loss in their school's history, but at this point in time, that's just how far our program has fallen. In almost any other year, the homecoming game is a cakewalk and fans leave at halftime because the outcome is a foregone conclusion. That was certainly not the case this year, for obvious reasons.

I agree that the game was as much a Wyoming win as a Tennessee loss, but that's just the point - we lost to a middling non-conference foe because we just aren't that good. It's embarrassing.

So yes, congrats on the win, and as others have said, apologies for the stupid fans. It's just a result of the hostility surrounding the football program right now.

Sorry your parents met assholes....guess what? They're everywhere my friend. There are jerks in Wyoming and jerks in Tennessee. Low class is low class regardless of the colors you wear or the color of your skin. Obviously you know most fans in Knoxville are not involved in this type behavior since you've seen it firsthand. I would have gladly called them out if I had been there, but I decided I'm done watching this team until next season.

quoted for truth.

For the Wyoming fan, im sorry you had a bad experience, but it would of been alot nastier had it been at the Swamp or down in Death Valley
Best of Luck with UNLV

Total crap. Not to be an a-hole to you or your family, but there is no way to warm this loss over. Wyoming did not win, UT LOST. You should never beat us in ANY sport what so ever except rodeo. Thanks for trying but never come here again, we will not be so nice next time. We owe you one.:gun:

Thanks guys. No, I dont live in Jackson. Actually most of us locals enjoy a few mountain ranges that many of us consider nicer than the Tetons :). Wyoming is a large state. If you like the outdoors, hunting, trout fishing its difficult to beat.

We understand that we didn't beat a typical Tennessee team and that we actually beat one of the worst teams Tennessee has fielded in a while. The way are season has gone it was just a big win for our kids and coaches. Joe Glenn is largely liked for what he has done for our university, but he has failed to produce a winner...so if he goes out this year, we are all very glad that he got this emotional win.

Best of luck!

Go Pokes! Go Vols!

Minus the fact that UF or LSU would've beaten Wyoming until they begged for mercy...actually, I'd go as far as to say ANY SEC team would have beaten them...even MSU.
As far as the ''This is a Wyoming win, not a Tennessee loss"...no, it was both. You won, we lost. That's football. Both teams will get one or the other.

and if any of those SEC teams were having a season like ours then the opposing fans would have a sour experience

I'm sure no matter what kind of season they're having, Florida would give any opposing fans a horrible time. That's why most people don't like them.:)

So yes, I’m saying it: I’m giving some credit to Wyoming for this win. This is a Wyoming Win, Not a Tennessee Loss.

Sorry your parents got ripped apart, happened to me at the last UT/ UF game in Gainesville, girls, old men, and college kids were yelling obsenities at us, we almost got in at least 3 fights, and we were'nt talking to anyone except UT people........

But your last statement is a total joke, trying to kick us when we're down, are ya? Our legendary coach of 17 years just got canned, and our team basically laid down.........and here you come along on OUR chat-board, and say some crap like we didn't lose??

What kind of a joker are you?? Do you really think you can compete with ANY team in teh SEC with a losing/ piss-poor record in the WILD WEST conference??

Come back here in 2 years, you arrogant creep, and you'll see some domination, as we destroy you and cover every spread in America, until you slither home, back to your Saloon in Deadwood City, or wherever you're from..........

But that's just football talk.........

Sorry your parents and you got insulted.......:eek:lol:

I must reiterate that it is inappropriate to talk trash and hurl insults to a team you lost to. And Wyoming currently holds bragging rights over us.

That's right. Wyoming. 4-6 Wyoming. The Wyoming that wants to can their coach. WYOMING BEAT US.

And no offense to the Wyoming fans, but it may indeed be our worst loss since Chattanooga in 1958.

One of the worst, if not the WORST loss in the history of Tennessee football history, if you consider the fact that it was HOMECOMING, and all the rest.........

No need for people to rub it in.........We will be back, hopefully sooner than later........

I'm not sure why they would find something like that offensive. They wouldn't be doing themselves any favors by saying, "Well, we beat a powerhouse SEC team, so surely our team is making progress!" Whether or not they'd like to admit it, this is very obviously one of Tennessee's worst seasons, and a win in Neyland isn't the monumental accomplishment it might've been in other years.

So, free of any delusions, the fact is that a bad Wyoming team beat an equally bad (perhaps worse) Tennessee team. Something like this happens so rarely that it's only natural to expect anger/disappointment/etc. from our fans. If they want to believe that their program has arrived because they slew the (sleeping) giant, I guess that's their prerogative.

My parents are the leave-it-to-beaver type of folks and we got every word you can imagine thrown at us at Arkansas a few years back. A lot of people suck, not much you can do.

Our fans are drinking more than usual this year so drunken slurs shouldn't be that surprising.

And your head is in your hind parts if you think this was more of wyoming win than a UT loss. You guys just beat prob our worst team ever who had given up on the season. I'm not saying to not enjoy your win, but I'd take it with a grain of salt. If this game was played any other year you guys would've gotten run out of the stadium.

Feel free to stick around. When things are going well we're much more fun to talk to.

I'll be making a trip to Wyoming sometime next year. Looking at getting some good hiking in.

It's awesome that Texas is coming to play you guys at home. Always enjoyed your program.

Lol at Rex

the Vols didn't lay down. They gave the same pitiful performances the have given all year. Wyoming did everything right to deserve this win. They won the game and we lost. It's that simple. No need to take anything from Wyoming.

I'm amazed at the lack of class from some people. You know who you are. To the Wyoming fan(s), glad you had a good time at our expense. It WAS a horrible loss for us as I'm sure you are aware. I guess that just brings out the worst in some people. Good luck in the remainder of the year. Hopefully, any future trips to the Hill, you'll encounter the overwhelmingly hospitable and friendly UT fans that you've witnessed before.

Thanks guys, appreciate it. Overall all I can say is that its not the end of the world for you guys. It is easy to see that Tennessee will quickly become an elite college football team again.

At Wyoming, if we could get our wish it would be to beat CSU and BYU and have the opportunity to compete with the big boys in a bowl game (which half the state will load up the truck and go to).
Coach Fulmer is available. You'll have to find your own set of Mannings, Al Wilsons, et al. to make the dream come true!

Haha. If that happened, I think we would definitely stop scheduling 2 for 1s. Luckily this time the 1 is at our place first. We had another 2 for 1 with Syracuse, after we played the 2 at Syracuse, they screwed us over by buying out of the game at Wyoming right before the season (causing us to have to schedule a 1AA).

Today's game was actually the last game in the 3 game contract we had with Tennessee. The 2 for 1, turned into 2 in Knoxville and 1 in Nashville.

Apparently noone wants to play in Laramie, elevation 7220.
Can you still breathe that high up? I suffocate nearly up on the Blue Ridge Parkway (Smokies). It's so pretty I load up on my asthma meds go anyway.

Ya know, sometimes we sound like the posters from other boards that we put down as classless.
I know we are angry and mad at the way the season has gone but come on show some class guys.
Amen.

I am not here to gloat...trust me, we havent even been competitive against the likes of Utah, BYU, TCU, New Mexico and Air Force.

I feel bad for you guys, losing at home to a team who on paper you should easily handle is tough. But it seems that everyone is so negative about Wyoming and the Mountain West Conference in general. The Mountain West Conference has been very underrated for years (watch TCU and you will see SEC speed and talent).

No. Just No.

Secondly...you guys played hard..and you suck...really..really are a bad football team.So what does that make Tennessee??
God only knows...Enjoy the gift, cause it aint never...ever..happening again..
