Try to show some class AZZHOLE! Act like you were raised in Tennessee even if you weren't. This guy visited our board and was very respectful to us. He deserves the same!

I do not think that I would be calling a Minister an "AZZHOLE".

Watch out, God is going to get you. :)

Powderriverpoke, Congrats on the win yesterday, Your boys played hard and deserved it...Yes we should turn teams like that to dust but that doesn't take away from the fine victory You got...Enjoy it to the fullest because You earned it and deserve it and hopefully it will help you with future recruiting and just help the overall program itself...Good luck the rest of the way...GO VOLS

Bold #1) The MWC sucks. There is no excuse for losing to a bottom feeder of the conference this year or any year

#2) Wyoming did compete. Did you expect them not to? They were playing at Neyland Stadium.

#3)Our players quit. You do NOT know the situation and turmoil in Knoxville. EVEN the biggest homer and Phil lover in Knoxville, former Vol Will Overstreet, said the players quit. It was pathetic.

#4) Your defense isn't any good. Yes, our offense just that BAD.

I'm sure Wyoming fans will gloat for years about this, but you did not beat a Tennessee team that gave it that their all - which is more disgusting to me than losing to Wyoming and trying your hardest. In the end a win is still a win so congrats.

Wow, kick the guy in the head and down grade his team and then congratulate him...Amazing

All of it was true. I didn't insult him. Facts are facts.

1) The MWC sucks. Fact.
2) The Wyoming team played very hard and with passion. Fact.
3) Our players quit. Fact.
4) Their defense is bad compared to every team we've faced this season except UAB. Fact.

What do you have a problem with there? I'd like to know. I just find it funny that a Wyoming fan comes on our board - saying he's not here to gloat, but in fact really is. It was more of a hidden backhanded remark, but one either way.

We had the lowest offensive total against them over any team they played in the MWC this year. That's pathetic. Their defense was not good. It was a mediocre MWC defense which is pathetic compared to an SEC defense.

1. any minister that tells someone to shut up and go away can be called whatever someone sees fit.

2. If our players quit, they quit back in August.

3. Utah, TCU, BYU and Air Force show that the MWC does not suck. Someone needs to get their facts straight.

We played them twice before I think 1999 and 2002. The latter game was actually a game that kind of upset Wyoming fans as Tennessee was supposed to come to Laramie but instead of buying out of the contract they negotiated a "neutral field" at Titan stadium in Nashville.

My Husband and I were at that game and we had a blast! Our first time at the Coliseum. I remember being very impressed by the number of Poke fans that showed up and all were very classy and seemed to have a good time. I have since had a soft spot in my heart for your team and always comment when I see a win for you scroll across the bottom of ESPN's ticker.

Being a VOL fan it makes me sick that we lost to you, but I do appreciate you stopping by and sharing your thoughts with us. I will not apologize for what others say or do as I believe you have to stand on your own merit. Every group has good and bad fans.

Good Luck to you and your team!

Poke,

Best to you and the Wyoming team. You guys did us a favor in winning because the politically correct media and the idiots on here were trying to make Fulmer into something that he isn't - and that is someone that knows how to coach. The Fulmerite suckabies wanted a special send off for him. I know, that is impossible to believe but it is true. Hey, would you take him back to Wyoming and let him scoop up cow poop? Would be a fitting job for him as all we have left to deal with is poop.

This should be nominated for the best post ever. Seriously, if UT fans want to congratulate Fulmer and give him a nice send off, they should have done it in 1998 when the moron knew how to coach.

He's a disgrace to this program for what he's let happen since around 2002.

The MWC sucks. I'm not comparing it to the Sun Belt and the WAC or Conference USA. I'm saying it sucks compared to the Big 12 and SEC.

And completely disagree with point #2.

BTW, I hope some of you guys got a chance to meet the Wyoming faithful. We are a nice folk. While unfortunately I couldn't attend the game in Knoxville, I think they showed how much we support our team and respect others. (as bad as we have been to still travel that many way out there, considering our state has less than 500,000 people says a lot i think)

I agree. Very nice folks indeed...

I was upset but I pay over 10 grand per year for 4 seats.... I should be upset! The Wyoming faithful I encountered were understandably excited (as they should be) yet respectful..... Very nice folks indeed.

well the SEC sucks compared to the Big 12, so that's not exactly an accurate measure of the talent of a conference.

as for my point #2, the same garbage offense that couldn't do anything Saturday was the exact same garbage offense that couldn't do anything Labor Day night against UCLA. If they "quit", they quit before the season ever started.

I disagree. The O-line let a group of pathetic under talented guys through the line consistently and more often than any other game. We atleast put up over twenty points against UCLA who has a better defense imo.

Our offensive effort was pathetic and less effective vs. an undertalented and bad coached Wyoming team than it was against most of the SEC teams we played with much better coaching and talent. That's the reason I believe. The defense - I don't think quit.

Wyoming fans are wonderful. I stayed home yesterday but were are the other two games. I just don't give a crap about watching this football team anymore this year. Congrats, classy posts & stick around. I've always liked Wyoming since our first two meetings years ago...not to mention it's a gorgeous state.

Lastly, I apologize for some of the jerks you've encountered in this thread....we're living in dire times.

If I were a Wyoming fan, I'd be a little pissed at the atmosphere, the team quit, and so did the fans. I've never seen the Vol walk so dead, you could've heard a pin drop. And Neyland definately wasn't Neyland today, when Rocky Top played, you could hear about 2 people getting into it. No offense to Wyoming, but what you saw Sat. was NOT Tennessee.

First off, I'd like to thank many of you this week for providing some great info leading up to the game and the hospitality I have been shown by many of the members. My parents and many of my friends were in attendance for the game. Some of them asked how Tennessee fans were in general. I have been to Neyland stadium 4 times and never once had a problem or had someone curse at me. I have always thought UT fans were some of the nicest fans in the SEC; but when my parents are just trying to walk back to the car and are getting cursed at with “F*** Wyoming!” “Go back to broke back mountain” and a few other slurs, that bothers me. Yelling at a 60 year old couple minding their own business? Geez

I have lived in both Tennessee and Wyoming, so I think I can speak for both states. They are both beautiful states with great people. So I’m not really understanding all the insults towards our state? I lived in Nashville and Maryville. The people in Wyoming are no more “redneck” or “cowboy” than anyone I have met in Tennessee.

I realize times are hard right now for all UT fans and I can certainly sympathize with that being a UW fan. Some of you may not realize this but we play in a conference called the Mountain West and there are some damn good ranked teams out of our conference. I doubt this can be the worst loss in UT history. (Memphis is from a lesser conference than we are) We had an opportunity to play a team that was more on our talent level and we came away with win. It was nice to see our offense was not keeping our Defense on the field all game. The turnovers have been few the last 2 games. Our QB is a redshirt freshman who only started his second game of the season and he has done a great job of managing the game. I’m proud of our guys for finally finding that identity we need to win some games.

So yes, I’m saying it: I’m giving some credit to Wyoming for this win. This is a Wyoming Win, Not a Tennessee Loss.

Good luck with the rest of your season!

Welcome to the board. Stick around in the future and give us an outsiders view that we sometimes miss.

As for your folks, that is unacceptable to civilized (sober) people anywhere. I'm sure you realize that every school has the resident fools. It doesn't matter how bad things are going, some things are just wrong.

Congrats on the win and good luck the rest of the way.

Sorry your parents met assholes....guess what? They're everywhere my friend. There are jerks in Wyoming and jerks in Tennessee. Low class is low class regardless of the colors you wear or the color of your skin. Obviously you know most fans in Knoxville are not involved in this type behavior since you've seen it firsthand. I would have gladly called them out if I had been there, but I decided I'm done watching this team until next season.
