Sure it was sloppy, but they got the job done tonight. And thats what counts. No matter who the other team is.

I was really happy to see Bryce Bown and Montario Hardesty have a great game on offense. Also glad to see Brandon Warren get a touchdown!

As for predicting wins for the season - Who knows? I am giving them a shot against everyone else we play the rest of the season. Why not? I want to see them succeed.

Give it time people. UT will be a force to be reckoned with in the future.

This coaching staff is awesome and I am behind them and the players 110%.

Go Vols!!

you know it's impossible to do anything at more than 100% right?

I would love to see Warren more involved. He physically is a tough match up for any corner. We need a receiving threat and Jones is not the answer.

Well, no crap. I want to win every game. But I also live in the real world, and I understand that it will take time for Kiffin to clean up the mess left behind by The Fired Coach.

jones needs to pick it up and he who we dont speak of (crompton) had teague wide open but overthrew him warren and hancock hav the best hands yet although jones has been quiet him and moore are the most dangerous potentially along with richardson

I'm not complaining about this game in particular, but I'm tired of all this "A win is a win" crap. It's not. If it were, then a loss is a loss and I know that you guys don't believe that because everyone was so happy with only losing to UF by ten. Again, I'm not complaining about tonight's game. I know we're not a title contender and probably won't be for a couple of years, but all wins are not created equal. Don't kid yourself.

Last I checked, it still goes in the record books as a win. Not 1/2 a win, or a win with an asterisk attached to it. It's a win. With the mess Kiffin inherited, any way we can get a win, I'll take it.

Exactly. This win was not what I expected. I honestly do not feel that confident after this win.

It's pretty ironic. You'd think we won a NC after last weeks loss. Now we win and we are going to have a losing season. You have to love VN.

People are full of optimism...we are lucky to get 6 wins this year...lol we looked like a team from the same conference as Ohio.

Look bottom line is this i'm sure when lane was hired he was told in so many words were not looking for a perfect season this year so for now he is working with what he's got with that being said he was probably told to get the name back out there that he has done get the big time recruits thinking about us again that he has done so sooner than later this coaching staff will have us back at the top we have to be patient.I was out doing a promotion with ex georgia bulldog kicker Gordon eli kelso and we ran into ex georgia bulldog running back Tony milton as we were talking he asked me if i was a dawg fan of course i said hell no i'm a vol of course he was ragging me a little all in good fun but he did say for me to mark his word that we would be playing for a national title in 2 years that we had one of the best coaching staffs in the country. So lets just be patient.

So you would feel just as good about beating UTC by 1 point as would about beating Florida by 1 point?

We looked like a team that intentionally worked on a weak part of our offense rather than leaning on the strength.

+1. We run the hell out of the ball and throw play action short passes every once in a while and we win much bigger.

Judging from what I've read on this board tonight, some people would probably pick UTC to win anyway. Others would even hope for a UTC win, particularly the Colemanite homers from Chattanooga.

We looked like a team that was equally matched with Ohio to most people....end of story

Most people are pretty dumb. We scored four TDs. They got lucky and scored one on a return and one from a short field given to them by Crompton. Other than that, they kicked a few field goals. That was on an off night for our defense.
