A win is a win, but our offensive line play is really bad

That's what bothers me so much. I was hoping with some improvements at the QB position we would be able to PERHAPS turn this season around.

It's clear that we have plenty of problems beyond that. That hurts.

I think you said it best after the UCLA game. This offense, in particular, is composed of epic FAIL.

i'm just saying we haven't really had a break-out type of running game that teams are afraid of in several years. the last really good ground game we had was in '01....seriously.

More to the point...when was the last time we lined up on third and one and didn't have to

a. Pass the ball
b. Hold our collective breath after the hand off.

This is my biggest criticism of the team over the last three years. We get knocked off the football on a regular basis.

Weird how the QB situation gets ironed out for a game, then the Oline plays terrible.

Ramon Foster is the reason for the Nick Stephens fumble. Our team as a whole does a pitiful job of blocking. Our RB's have to fend for themselves when outside the tackles, and we will never return a punt or kickoff with the poor attempt at blocking our players do. This is strictly a coaching issue.

I'm quite sure that there are a few things that Nick missed. He managed the game well for his first start. IMO he looked a little more confident in the pocket.

Offensive line play is atrocious. The fact that we can't line up against NIU and gain two yards when we really need it tells me all I need to know about this football team. Hit somebody in the mouth for God sakes.

I seem to recall one poster that predicted our horrible offensive line play well before the season started. :whistling:

I guess that makes you a genius?

Excuse me for hoping for a little improvement:)...but alas we are still holding our breath on third and one.

If you always think everything is going to suck, you're bound to be right every once in awhile.

Our OL is continually avg to poor...year to year...and despite CPF talking it up about 75% of the time. It's almost as if he is in denial or something.

We haven't blocked anybody in 10 years. We whiff so many peope it is almost comical.

It really seems like our recruiting has fallen far below what we all know about.......we're not getting enough big stud OL/ DL like we used to get........our teams used to be LOADED with them, 2 or 3 deep at each position......Fulmer needs to get his team to play more physical, more smashmouth.........
