Forecast for charlotte next Saturday shows 94 degrees. ughhh
Been a mild summer thus far to say the least. I don’t think we’ve even had a 95 degree day here the last 2-3 months. Been in the 80s everyday this week here in Middle Tennessee, when’s the last time that happened in August?

That said, it’s humid even so. Hopefully it’s a “dry” 94 over in Charlotte next Saturday. Either way, I trust that Coach Pruitt and Fitz have done their jobs well getting the boys physically and mentally prepared to play well.

I'd love a rain soaked game it would be a help to the defense:D

i think some of that will be helped with how this staff will approach rotation of players. i would expect to see guys rotate a lot more than what the previous staff did.
I hope so because I am over seeing UT get whipped in the second half.. Granted some games we got whipped in the first half as well :)

to that point, a lot will depend on how the game plays out....im sure the goal will be rotate early while competitive, so we have the "go to guys" later in the game when it's on the line.

I remember the movie "The Junction Boys" where Bear Bryant said players stopping during practice to drink water made them weak:D;)o_O

Don't laugh too much, high school coaches well into the 1970s promoted the same thing. Salt pills dispensed and perhaps one water break during practice and one immediately following end of practice. It's a wonder we didn't have more dead.

It has been said over and over in other threads that the Vols would have the advantage if this game were played later in the year. Why? Depth. As in, West Virginia doesn't have any...their talent drops WAY off when you get to the 2nd string and beyond. Even their visiting fans point this out.

So who does a really hot, humid day favor? The team that can rotate players all afternoon long without having to suffer too much of a talent drop-off.

Short version is, this forecast favors the Vols. As long as our lads are hungry for the win and willing to work their butts off, this is 100% in our favor.

You have a team ranked 17 by the AP (Sports Writers that can't find their feet with directions, Coaches Poll has them at 20) and you call this an upset? I get it because we aren't ranked but when you factor in talent across the board and on paper UT is the superior team. I don't consider this WIN, and yes I went there, I don't consider this WIN an upset. Now beat Bama or UGA then we can talk upset. JMHO...... sorry if we don't jive not my point.
