Tony Robinson was really good I think Majors said at the time that he was the most dynamic player he had ever coached. It’s a shame that Cornileus Bennett took his knee out in the 1985 season. I hope Tony has cleaned up he got bad into drugs after his college career was over.I agree. TR was at least top 5, maybe even top 3
Ehhhh. Heath Shuler IMO. @bray2milton. Nope that was Manning
What about Conderage?Josh Dobbs is top 5 also. @bray2milton
I know the video youre talking about. It was one of the weirdest lies I've ever heard and it should have been obvious it was gonna get exposed. That's compulsive liars for you I suppose.I was a kid then and 1985 was maybe the first season I remember paying attention to, and while I never knew this I do remember members of my family saying Florida's record should be 0-6 in the SEC because they were ineligible.
I think it's a bit weird to go so far as to care what the standings in the paper say, but in a strange way I can see putting Florida at the bottom with an asterick or something that denotes they aren't eligible for the titles. But overall I think it was silly to care so much.
I like that guy's channel, and his other one that's dedicated to NFL/pro football. He makes some about stories I've never heard, like one about a rising NBC analyst who was a former player who ruined his announcing career in an instant when during a Bengals game he told a story about a conversation with Sam Wyche that he completely made up and Wyche found out and called him out.
Two of Switzer’s best teams were given postseason bans in 1973. For violations incurred by Fairbanks. The only bitterness I carry is knowing damn well we weren't the only ones doing inappropriate things. We just weren't in a protected class back then.
The fact we were serving probation while Oklahoma was winning the national title under Barry Switzer that season is laughable. They had to have players selling cocaine to FBI agents before the NCAA decided they might want to do something.
