Will ask God almighty to wipe this illness out of your mother's body, I also need to ask prayer for my 5 yr old step son who is going in for surgery monday to remove an area on the back of his scalp that is believed to be melanoma. His doctor told us that he has only seen two cases of this particular type of cancer 2 times in knoxville so it must be rare. God is amazing and can right any wrong and heal any sickness.

Orange Hammer,
I was diagnose two years ago with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia ,so I know first hand just what your Mother is going through.
So tell her that another Big Orange Fan who is fighting the same disease is thinking of her and wishing her the best!
Also tell her that fighting this CLL is like wrestling a grollia...for her not to quit wrestling and fighting when she gets tired, but only quit wrestling and fighting when the grollia gets tired.
My doctor has told me that a lot of people can live many years with CLL and have a very productive life,so tell her to hang in there and stay strong, our prayers go out to her.
God bless you and your family.
Go Vols

My prayers go out to your Mother and your family. My daughter was diagnosed with cancer when she was 13 years old. She faced it bravely and refused to accept anything but a positive outcome. She has now been in remission for six years.

Thanks first for reading. Folks I'm 29 years of age, and have never had to endure the pain of losing close family members, and hoped to keep it that way for a while.

I recently found out that my mother was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocydic Leukemia. It's in the very early stages, and the doctor said she's either a stage 0 or maybe 1, and that he guessed it would be 10-15 yrs before symptoms would be a normal part of life. I'm not very familiar with this, but i know this disease can be unpredictable and since it's my mother its constantly on my mind.

My mother is also a true Vol. She is a TN ALUM, and graduated with a 3.9 while being a single mother with us three children. She is a fighter and such a strong willed, amazing woman. All I ask is that her fellow alums and the rest of Vol Nation keep her in your prayers, and hopefully this will stay a slow progression until they find some kind of cure for it.

Thank you all so much, it means the world to me.

Go VOLS, from me and my moms . I'm going to show her all of volnations replys, it will make her day. So be nice ha jk.

P.s.-sorry if wrong forum.

Well, it seems that she has already been blessed with a fine son. Your mom will be my family's prayers and we will also pray for a cure.

Prayers and positive thoughts sent. Continue to remind her to stand up to this horrible disease. I feel your pain and hers; I lost my dad 13 years ago to lymphoma, and I'm currently recovering from colon resection surgery to remove a tumor found during a colonoscopy on Oct. 5. Stay strong and fight the good fight!

Maybe the best thing about this thread is how many people of faith there are in VN, and the outpouring of well wishes is just spectacular, but not surprising - I know where I'm coming when tragedy strikes

The day that our Vols defeated Memphis in basketball to become the number one ranked team in the country was the day my father passed. Because of the huge Vol fan that my father was and the fact that he would have been watching the game with me that night, made that day even more emotional. I logged in to Volnation that night and posted about his passing and I will never be able to repay the members of Volnation for the comfort that they gave me with their responses.

Having a caring and thoughtful son like you has to make your mother proud. It will also help her during this difficult time. My prayers go out to your Mother and to you fellow Vol!
