I said before the staff started shaping up that is would be average at best and fans would give BJ a pass.

One guy said that we cant expect him to hire a great staff because he hasnt proven himself.

I really like Bugs there 4......

I know a guy that does Tee's and I plan to have some made for the gang...maybe get em to everyone if we can get together.

I was hoping for O&W game, but with better outcome

Dude, last night and today in the FF I was like the new kid in school not having a clue what to do or where to go and felt totally left out. As far as no Gruden or any other big name hire, I believe Cheek and Hart screwed the pooch and found a guy that would except their terms. The two need to be shown the door immediately!

What coach is going to line up and say "I can't wait to coach under butch jones!"

Not a knock on jones, I hope he does well. Just sick of the fans that just blindly except the garbage that has come out of the AD the last 5+ years.

That would be cool. I would wear it. I am still having trouble wrapping my head around all this and the new coach. Just not sure if he will be able to compete with the big boys in this conference. I hope he can....:unsure:

Somethings gotta give dude. I've posted a million times I'll support Butch but sadly I feel we will be going through this again in a few years and we need guys at the top that will do whats necessary and hire the best damn coach that's out there! I think with his love of the school and football program, Fulmer would pull the trigger on the big name hire.

I do not blame Jones.... I would have taken the job too...ha ha

There are some fans that will be overly critical, and some will be blind sheep. I hope I can land in the middle. I want him to do well, but we deserve a lot better. Hart and Cheek have NO IDEA what it means to be a Vol

His staff will NOT be the best in the country if most come from Cinn with him. A staff that allows a Dooley coached team to score 40+ is no where near the best in the country

"The defensive coaches who are the "best assistants" aren't going to come coach under Butch Jones until he proves his-self. The staff he assembles is just going to have to be the best staff In the Nation……that coaches HIS system, and they'll just have to do the best THEY can do, and "give their all for Tennessee"

I mean really.

What the hell is that.

Many vol fans are just plain stupid!

BJ is using the Hal Mumme method of hiring!

I would support Fulmer for AD, but the brass at UT won't. They know Fulmer won't settle for mediocrity with the football program.

I hope he can, too. But I'm not seeing any way for him to get it done. I think Saban, Miles, Muschamp, Ricth, etc have a recruiting machine in place.

Jones will be an outsider, a red headed step child, a castoff, a street urchin, a hobo, a vegabond, whatever that is, a reject, etc.

But that's why he makes the big bucks.

As much as I hate to say this, I'd rather see Phil back as coach for 2-3 years and get the right guy set up by Phil's last year.

I think 3-4 yrs and we will be in another search. BJ did ok in his presser, but that was just talk...so did Dooley as far as that goes. I just see no way that he can compete in this conference on a steady basis

And I can say with strong confidence that Hart will be run of town sooner than later. They just have to wait for enough time to pass so that the gullible vol fans won't associate his firing with the hire.

I am willing to bet that Hart will not be AD when the Vols play their first regular season game of 2013. Cheek is another deal but if people hammer away at that booger eater hard enough he will be out to!!!

I was one of Dooleys biggest supporters and finally after the MSU game I snapped out of it and became a die hard Grudenite. I'm done excepting mediocrity. I will give Butch a chance but if he sucks he will lose my support a lot quicker than Dools did!

I anticipate that we will have another search going on in 2.5 years but this time there will be no gruden. That ship has sailed.

Good for you VM14

I knew Dooley was done when he lost the team and they lost to UK last year. But I dont blame the players for that; they did not like him.
