It appears that the former staff was attempting to just ghost this kid like they tried with the young man at Baylor in Chattanooga. It didn't work in either instance, and this appears to be a trend in recruiting that I find particularly distasteful and cowardly. If you don't want a kid anymore, call him and tell him. Coaches just trying to ignore the kid and stopping communication in the hopes that they get the hint is a weak move. I would rather the coach approach it the way JH has done in this instance. The timing isn't great, but it appears that the former staff wasn't going to sign this kid anyway.

24/7 has him at 3 stars #27 some have him 4 star and #12 TE, had not heard CJP would not let him sign in December ?

Loyal that he didn’t sign early? Or he was waiting for something better loyal? Sucks but this was a possibility for awhile for Roc.

Our luck the guy will soon have multiple recruits we want at positions of need.

Why would he do that? Makes no sense and no, that doesn't shed a good light on this restart.

I suppose it's okay for an athlete to change his mind and commit somewhere else. Or commit to school A in hopes of getting a better offer from school B or C. Probably did the guy a favor by pulling the offer.

Who gives a d**n about the drama queen HS coach. Standard procedure that every program does. Taylor and his coach are stupid not to open his recruiting back open when UT told him to hold off signing on ESD.
