I did see this. Looked like a peewee football team or something. They had black jerseys though, sign?

Yeah ... I believe it was a high school football team. Thought it was odd that they had the Orange Power T and the uniforms looked blue and white.

I noticed it as well. It looked like the NFL tried to come up with a generic looking uniform for this commerical as to not play favorites with their teams because the colors didn't reflect any NFL team. But there was an orange Power T on the helment.

The caption referenced "Friday Night," so I assumed it was footage of a high school team taking the field. Player size appeared consistent with that assessment.

Was hard to tell, but I thought the jerseys were black with some orange accents. Those were definitely Power T helmet clones.

I saw the ad run twice.

I didn't notice! Don't watch commercials, but usually do during the Super Bowl because they're good. Last night was the exception. Except for the FARMERS ad, they were all horrible!

There is a rec league team up here in the St. Louis area that wears harvest gold power Ts on their helmets. I see them on occasion on the back windows of minivans and SUVs and have to get a little closer before I realize they aren't Vol fans.

The were black jerseys also. very similar to the unis in that commercial.

I saw this as well....I'm like a moth to a flame with anything UT related. Several high school teams use the Power T logo. Trinity Christian Academy in Jackson, TN uses it and several PeeWee teams in St. Louis had them when we lived there. Awesome to see it during the Super Bowl though!:question:

I don't think that is the Power T.

If you look closely at the T it is a serif font. Look in the top right part of the T and on the top left part of the T. Seems like it is curving down like a spike.

God, they tackle like the 2012 Tennessee Defense led by Coach Sal. Actually, some of them tackle better than last years team.

I kid, i kid. Congrats on being a supportive and involved parent. It isn't easy.

Im the same way. During the blackout I swapped over to NBC who was airing a SNL special and a portion was dedicated to Bill Murray. In one of the photos they showed him wearing a vintage orange and white University of Tennessee hat. Wonder if he has ties here?

The Texarkana Texas High Tigers wear a helmet that could have passed for the power T on the video.

It's clearly not, but close enough for the video perhaps. Many of their sports teams wear black and orange, but I can only find pics of the football team in orange or white jerseys.
