A Tale of Two Basketball programs

Your old! That base is making a great mountain biking mecca for me :)

So did you play the big three or monterey pines?
Played them all, but between you and I, Bayonet was as good as any of them (except for the frickin' Ice Plant)

I havent played Bayonet. I helped the manager of Poppy Hills with a flat tire and now I can play there whenever I want. :p

that's a reasonably nice benny. I'm probably not as old as you think. I was at Ord when it was closed down.

Wow, I guess everyone is airing their grievances in this thread?

BigPapaVol annoys me!
Me too. His "freindly guy" persona he just miraculously adopted would classify as, patronizing, on a "school yard" level. You read his drivel...don't let him make you feel bad by playing nice. Before you know it, he will completely misrepresent you because of his inability to understand the simplest of points.

I couldn't disagree more. That is just wrong...

I think Papa is a pretty good guy (maybe a girl?? :p) I certainly do not agree with him most of the time and your right that it seems he doesn't get my idea of a simple point. Keep in mind though this is all done in writing so our perceptions of what we write may come across completely different to those who read it. (i.e. you may think your cracking a joke while others think your being serious)

Without Papa and others like him, This board would not be interesting enough to stick around. That and from what I can tell, as the only Navy guy here I must defend our honor against the multiple grunts posting on here.

I'm surprised this many people on this board have been here. I had even heard of this place until I got assigned here

It is the best of all worlds for assignments. Also people flock there as tourist to visit Peeble Beach and LS raceway.

I've been based here for over 5 years, it seems I cant leave this place. I will say K-town should try and get something like LS.

I do not know if us good ole stock boys could handle it.
They ran 4 races a year. Bikes, Formula, Datsons and one other. Paul Newman's racing team use to be there.

I'm just guessing, but I think you might have misunderstood something here.

I might get ran off this board for admitting this, but I love the Sea Otter Classic (MTB) and they do three classic car contests and about 12 events total now. The formula one, I think is their biggest? maybe the Concoure de elegance?
