Tennessee’s offense has been to the red zone 14 times this year. 14 times through 6 games is a little over 2 times per game. This isn’t necessarily indicative of how many times we’ve scored, as we’ve kicked some long field goals and thrown some long deep balls to the end zone.

Think about how you typically get to the red zone. You get there with long, sustained drives while your defense rests and game plans. We’ve let them do that 14 times this year.

The defense can’t cover the slant, but other than that Pruitt’s defense is fine, the poor guys just run out of juice. I’m a big guy, I can take a punch. I can probably take several punches.... but if you punch me enough times I’m going to eventually go down.

14 times in the red zone....

Both sides of the ball are really bad. Yes the offense is a little worse but the defense is bad as well. This coaching staff is not getting it done.

Frank's had 5+ seconds to throw the ball on multiple occasions. The defense isn't fine. Our LBs cannot diagnose pass plays. To'oto'o is really good 75% of the time and completely lost 25% of the time. The other contributing ILBs are guys who weren't LBs by trade. Safeties are garbage. DL gets pressure 1 out of every 7 or 8 dropbacks.

It's year 3. Sure, the offense isn't doing anything to help out, but the gaps and missing pieces on defense are glaring for a supposed guru in his third season.
