If we didn't learn from kiffen and Dooley then we will never learn. Get out while you still can. Other programs have the balls to do it, why shouldn't UT?

Knee jerk reactions and half cocked decisions are how we became irrelevant. Give it 1 more year (top 10 class coming in) and then let's see if CBJ is our Zook.

I'll admit I didn't think we would pony up the cash to hire Shoop at over a million a year as a DC. I don't think we pay 10 million to send Butch packing. Please, please prove me wrong again!

Butch Jones is a problem.

Players aren't coming to UT. I guarantee we don't finish in the top 10 in recruiting this year. They see what many Vols fans don't see. (The end)

I voted No, because it won't happen now. He will be gone following next year or the following if he doesn't make a drastic improvement. Het we have to go through a change; maybe our next AD will make a quality hire.

Please define "knee jerk".

The correct answer is yes. Anything else is just wasting time.

"Knee jerk" giving CPF an extension and a raise due to average season then firing him the next.

"Knee jerk" hiring unproven HC w/trash NFL record who runs out like Sally Fields from Smokey and the Bandit.

"Knee Jerk" hiring a complete idiot w/trash record, again, rather than bide time with proven temp head coach until the market is better

Jones hit his ceiling here. He's too sensitive for big time college football. I'm not sure he really even understands the game, he speaks in riddles.

The part of this that's the worst is he was out coached by Derrick Mason. Vanderbilts players would have ran through a brick wall for that man, ours played with no intensity, focus and lacked the physical strength to compete.
