A few years ago, a school hired a controversial basketball coach. He energized the program, fired up the base, and changed the culture. Then, he left after one year to take a job at his alma mater. He was replaced by an unknown assistant and the fans went absolutely ballistic and the media roundly ridiculed the hire.

Flash forward three seasons, look at the current basketball polls. Looks to me like Kansas State survived.

Really...

You of all people are going to act like Bruce Pearl was a good hire?

No jokes about tanning or maccabi games?

Weird.

Apples and oranges. Much tougher turn around in football than basketball. You can turn a basketball program around with only one or two top players. If you lose a whole recruiting class in football, it can take years to recover.

Bruce Pearl is coaching at Kansas State? That's odd. I interviewed Frank Martin about 2 hours ago and he appeared to be under the impression that he's running things in Manhattan. Strange.

Yeah. I did.

Bruce Pearl was a small school coach that renergized the program.

Prior to the Kansas game he said how horrible he is as a coach and Tennessee was just fine before him while referring to O'neil.

He was always his claim that Tennessee was just as good before but now he is singing a different tune.

Oh forgive me... I didn't realize this was a Kansas State board. I could care less what they've done.

In basketball no less...

5 starters... 22. This recruiting class is gone.

Maybe you want to go re-reread his post. You still don't get it. Pearl was never mentioned, or even eluded to.

Good job.

I am loving the can-do attitude, Hat. Most every other post in this forum is all about negativity toward every candidate, Hamilton, Fulmer, Kiffin, etc. Go Vols! My donation renewal will posted to Tennessee Fund within a week.
