There are some self-professed "fans" that are actually pulling for a UT loss this week (and the following weeks) in order to encourage a change in the coaching staff. I find that to be a load of crap (a technical term).

There will be a lot of folks from east TN crossing the mountains to go to Columbia SC this weekend. In a show of unity all of the true fans that are hoping to see the VOLS win against the SC chickens should drive through the mountains with their headlights "on." Those scum sucking wannabe "fans" that hope to see UT lose should drive through the mountains at night with their headlights "off."

I'm definitely hoping for a win this weekend. I don't think we beat SC, but I am pulling for the Vols. Wanting us to lose in hopes Dooley is fired is stupid. Even if he is fired, I don't see this game being the deciding factor like it was with Fulmer. He wins the last 4 and a bowl game going 8-5 he's not getting fired anyways, IMO. I hope we smoke the chickens Saturday.

Just think of the events that have occurred to this program since Zack arrived on campus.

(1) Played for Fulmer and lost to Wyoming. (RedShirt Freshman)

(2) Kiffin arrived on campus. We lost to Ole Miss and Virginia Tech in a horrible fashion, then Kiffin left.

(3) Dooley arrived. We lost to LSU & UNC.

(4) We lost to Kentucky

(5) Dooley fired and Chuckie arrives...


Now, imagine if we tank these last few games and his career, along with Dallas Thomas, Prentis Waggoner, Rivera, Teague,Wilks all end disappointingly.
What a horrible way to remember your last season at U.T.

I hope we win also believe me I am from Columbia and all of my family went to USC but I do think this is a deciding game because he hasn't shown any improvement from year to year. If he isn't fire then I guess I will here from my family how UT is going to suck again next year.

I don't understand how any Vol fan could possibly pull for us to lose a game for any reason. That is just shameful and I hope the actual number pulling for this outcome is much smaller then some believe.

On a side note it looks like it may be pretty breezy in Columbia which may not bode well for our passing game. I still have flashbacks to the windy orange and white game where Tyler was 5 for 30.

We all have different ideas about what's best for the future and health of this program. We're all true fans, in my opinion, no matter if you're pulling for us to win or lose on Saturday, or just apathetic about the game. There is no one definition of a true fan, but that's just my opinion.

you just make stuff up because you can't stand the fact that we are right about Dooley's coaching ability. You start this true fan crap. Show me one post from anyone saying they hope we lose to South Carolina.

I been a Vol Fan for 30 Years, I love all Vol Sports and wear my Orange with pride. I fly my flag when I travel out of state and My UT cap is always on. I get chill bumps from head to toe during the Vol Walk. I cried with fullmer when he was fired. Some times i get teary eyed when we run through the T. I don't need some one telling me because i have seen no improvement from Dooley I'm not a real fan. A real fan knows Dooley isn't ready to coach against the best coaches in college football here in the sec!

Agree. I don't want us to EVER lose but, when your team is down and out and continues to play better coached teams, the reality is that not many Vol fans honestly think we CAN win against the likes of Spurrier, Miles, Saban, etc. It's all about the coaching, not the kids.

Was thinking the same thing. I can't remember a single post hoping we lose but may have missed it. Also don't know anyone who is a Vol personally that is not pulling for the Vols. I am definitely rooting for a win but think either way it's time to move forward coaching wise.

Very few, if any actual Vol fans are hoping for a loss this weekend. Only folks saying there are fans doing this are Dooley supporters hoping to get some of the bashing of Dooley to cease. I am a Vol fan and will always hope they win. I hope Hart fires the man the next morning as well.

GO VOLS!

well when you have played sports and laid it all on the line you can understand the emotions that showed in the enterview when Phillip pointed at the players as they set there crying and said thats what it about.
