Guys,

I want to see our boys win just as bad as you guys do. Would I love to see us go out and win 10-11 games?? Hell yeah I would! I don't know if this next statement is an indication of how far we've fallen but I just want to see the Vols go back to competing week in and week out. I want to see competitive football that at the end of the day, win or lose, leaves me feeling like the Vols were right there only a few plays away from beating a BAMA or the Gators, playing for the SEC championship, or being invited to a BCS bowl. I don't know what will happen this year. We are more talented at almost every position than we have been in a long time, but we are still thin at key positions that leave us vulnerable to one or two injuries putting us in a real bind. Nevertheless, less than 48 hours until kickoff, I feel like this team and this group of guys will be the ones that get Tennessee back to where we belong-- competing for championships. Years from now, I think we'll look back on this team and say, damn I loved that team. Those guys played their a$$es off and got Tennessee back to competing in the East and pulling in top 10 recruiting classes like we always have. IT STARTS FRIDAY NIGHT, NC STATE may not be the cream of the crop in the ACC, but who cares. Friday night is our coming out party that we are back and people aren't going to be able to kick Tennessee around anymore. GO VOLS!!!

Nice post OP. I think this team has what it takes to put us back to powerhouse status. We have the last of Fulmers and Kiffins classes on this team and it seems like everybody is working together nicely.

Derrick, you're right, but I think you've been watching to much film. Go to bed and get some sleep now. :snoring:
