I know that some people are ready to get over the Bama game. but, I give you this as THE reason Fulmer needs to go. Our guys let a completly overmatched Bama team rub our noses in sh##.
Even if we completly destroy SC our anger needs to remain. We all got a little fuzzy after the GA game thinking that we might be alright. Things are NOT alright in Knoxville.
How much more of this crap are we gonna have to put up with.

I know that as VOL fans that is the last thing we all want to see and hear. But, It happened to our guys and we need to be plenty mad about it. Don't forget it, dont get fuzzy again. Fulmer needs to go.

When was the last time the Tenn. crowd sounded like that? I amazed when I to an away game and it seems like the entire crowd, not just the students are in on the chants.

I wasn't there but heard UGA was very loud. I also attended the Cal game last year and it was nuts.

That cheer reminds me of the one we did in high school -- the one where we got to yell "hell yes" 3 times and "ya damn straight" once. High school kids getting to yell a naughty word in unison, in public. Of course, it was the loudest.

That said, that video ought to be playing nonstop in the UT lockerroom during Bama week next year.

I totally agree with that!

I won't get over it and I think we should think about it every day. If that doesn't give you incentive to realize change is needed, nothing ever will! AL hates TN and Fulmer so much, it makes me sick to think we went down there and didn't even give them a decent game....I mean, Houston, Ole Miss, Ark and FSU played them better than we did.....that is disgusting! We need to be doing something besides filling out progress charts...that is laughable. I feel for FULMER that he was humiliated by the bammers. I had hoped he would hand $atan a huge defeat and bow out gracefully after this year. We need to focus on this game next year and K'ville and prepare for it NOW like CA did with us this year. I really would hate to see FULMER run out like Mike Shula was at AL so I hope he does the right thing.

Furthermore, even though it's totally classless, we ought to come up with our own unique version of that cheer, complete with the Pride's involvment -- for use against Bama only.

I remember hearing this back in 1990 when Bama beat us on Burke's blocked FG. I was at that game. I was a Soph in HS. It hurt, b/c I knew we were the better team. For some reason, I'm not too hurt by this. Maybe it's b/c I'm older. Maybe I'm becoming listless in regards to the football program these days. I don't expect too much anymore, and therefore I'm not too disappointed when 41-17 or 59-20 happens.

That feeling might be a more telling sign that change would be good.

I also agree that we (UT fans) in general are lacking in good chants. We sing Rocky Top, which is implanted in our brains and most of us love, and we have the V-O-L-S go-Vols-go, which is fine.

But we don't have any good ones that fire up the crowd. Students?

Totally agree. And I've been saying this for a long time. Rocky Top is fine but it doesn't rock.

I also noticed that the talk of Fulmer's future died down considerably during the stretch of wins we just had. I thought this was somewhat strange since the 3 teams we beat are not good football teams.
Arky State is a Sun Belt conference team that SEC teams schedule for the easy W. Yea we hung 40+ on them, but also gave up 24. The Miss State game was not in the bag until midway through the 4th quarter. That is a Miss State team that has not even sniffed a bowl game in 5-10 years. Yes UGA is a ranked football team. However, this is not the same UGA of the early 00's. This is a UGA team that has taken to celebrating beating Vanderbilt by stomping on the star at mid-field.
Our guys seem to have lost that fire that former Vol teams had. You look at the teams from 94-99. They had a swagger to them that said "You will not even come close to sniffing the endzone on us, you will settle for FG's and be happy with it. You're qb will walk off the field at the end of the game with more grass stains on his uniform and chunks of field in his face mask than our RB will have!"
Now it's like we are just going through the motions. Show up to the game, run through the T, let qb's like JPW pick us apart and remain untouched, then hope our offense can keep us in the game with our conservative play calling.
Since when do we settle for 8-4 or worse records and Outback/Chick-Fila/Music City/Liberty Bowl appearances.

The Outback/ChickenBowl/Music City/Liberty bowls are pipe dreams this year, as is 8-4.

Bitter people never prosper. You are angry because you got SOS when his best days were behid him. You are like the guy that FINALLY gets to bang a stripper, even though she's now 45 and her best days were 20 years ago.
