A recap of the scrimmage

There were times when he would stare at them too long, and other times when he would check his 2nd and 3rd receivers. It seemed like if Crompton made a bad pass, he'd then make 2 or 3 more bad passes in a row...like he'd be thinking about it too much...still a headcase, I'm afraid...

He did make some good plays, but still inconsistent. Here's some good news, though...NO FUMBLED SNAPS, NO FUMBLED HANDOFFS!

I think we can expect more from him this year. I see the possibility that we are being stroked on his progress.
CLK is a tactician. Others would disagree. But his progress is a potential secret... One that we should unleashed gradually......:)

That was a good recap from Koach.

Crompton looks better than he did at any point last year, but he still needs to work on some things (staring down a receiver, touch passes). In his defense, we can't see Crompton's eyes from the stands, so perhaps he is scanning the field better than it appears from the stands. The defense didn't seem to read him that well if he was starring down a receiver, with one or two exception. He still has 2-3 passed, where your like, "what was he thinking?" or he throws it behind a wide open receiver. I will say the offense looked much more fluid with him under center, especially in the first half.

The running game looked great, with the exception of a fumble or two by Hardesty and Oku. I was really impressed with Bryce, even with his limited play. It takes 3-4 defenders to get him down, and his TD run was very impressive.

Teague will be a big time contributor at WR this season, and Nuke will also be an integral part of the offense, in case anyone has doubts about freshmen contributing.

Defensively, I thought the DEs looked pretty good at times. Nothing special from the LBs that I noticed, except for a dropped INT. DBs looked good. Wilks brought the wood. Jackson looked pretty good in coverage. Oliver had and INT off of Lamaison on a fly route.

I'm so pumped for this season, and the scrimmage gave me the itch even worse. I think this is probably an 8-4 team, which I think would be a pretty good year 1 for Kiffin.

Nuke and Teague were in there A LOT together.
Bryce, Nuke, and Teague were on the field together when Bryce got the touchdown(with the first team line and Crompton).
