I've been getting my news from Volnation - seems much being "reliable sources" and nobody posting links. So what really went down on this coaching hire?

When did Schiano actually sign a deal with UT?
Was it weeks ago?
Was Mullen already signed by UF weeks ago?
How did the deal fall apart? Schiano pull the plug or UT?
Do we owe him money?
Someone said Currie out? Not believing he's gone too? When did that happen?
Was Schiano in and out before anything has ever been officially announced?
Was there supposed to be a presser today?
Are there more cards to fall? Davenport?

I have to admit, I'm pleased Volnation stood it's ground. We are due for something good to happen, and this just might be somewhat of a turning point. Hopefully the powerbrokers that are inept are exposed here.

If anyone knows what happened when, and in what order, I'd love to hear it.

I don’t know, but I’ve been gone for hours, not knowing what is happening and I come over here now to find all of this mess. What is going on here? :thud:

From what I gathered:

The reports of Campbell, Schiano, and Mullen being the top 3 was true. Mullen picked UF, Campbell’s buyout is too big or something like that, so Currie went with Schiano.

Currie was the only one that wanted him, other AD members were against. When Currie left to go to Columbus to finalize it, someone in the AD leaked it and that’s when the crap storm started.

Report is that Currie was ignorant of the Sandusky stink on Schiano.

Wow, now that sounds pretty credible.

Dang, a lot of people must be sleeping at Holiday Inn Express.

"I gathered"....speaks volumes about complete, concise, and credible (valid) information on VN.

Can't wait to hear the spin at the end of this dumpster fire.

There's no way in the world that he was ignorant of the putrid stench emanating from this despicable heap of human refuse.

After all, weren't some of our favorites sons advising him on the matter?

Today- as ugly as it seems at times- will live in infamy. It could very well be a turning point. The day after a loss to vandy. Worst season in history, and we experienced a grassroots uprising. I'm pleased. My season tickets were about toast.

If Currie really was the only one who wanted him, than it shows how inept he is because he won't listen to the advice of his team

These rumors that Currie didn't know are obviously being setup to take blame off Currie.

Currie should resign today.

Put Hoke or Fulmer as interim for next season.

Try again for a coach next year.

Hearsay and no sources but what I read last night: Of course Gruden was #1; said no. Mullen was #2. He was leaning toward coming to Tennessee until Florida lost out on Kelly and Frost. From there, for some reason, Schiano was Currie's #3. And well, you know the rest of the story.

The reason no one will entertain Tennessee is Currie is a fool, Schiano should have never been considered, and we had to step in when the leaders listened to idiots like you.

I agree. Vols 1707 is on Curries payroll, a bro of his, or is actually Currie himself. According to KSU fans, Currie was a weasel so it wouldn't surprise me if he planted someone on Volnation.

Damn. Chill out, bro. I know you liked the guy, but the sun still came up today.
