A point worth mentioning..

Everybody is feeling negative about Pruitt right now for good reason. However, I have noticed that people are complaining about our defense, and I thought they played good tonight. They shut Arkansas down in the first half and in the fourth quarter. What more can you ask for? In today's high scoring game you are going to give up some points. This is especially true when you have a hot doo doo offense like we do at the moment. And Pruitt is more hands on with the d-line now and I thought they looked noticeably better tonight too.

Before everyone kicks the messenger, I want to say I'm not defending Pruitt. There are a lot of reasons to criticize him and I think he will end up losing his job this year, but I don't think it is fair to criticize the defense. They have been pretty good and they don't have a whole lot of talent. They are honestly pretty mediocre.

They are not disciplined, they gave up crucial chunk plays that set up scoring drives. They did not play well. They played a team with few playmakers.

The defense had a bad quarter. That's far from "God awful" or "horrid".....

The offense, for many reasons, lacked the ability to mix pass in with the run game in the first half to keep the defense 'honest'. Arkansas adjusted and as usual we didn't/won't/can't.

The offense is the elephant in the room..

Many teams play great defense with bad offense. If you're a good defense you play ball. Period. Plus like other posters have said the only reason. The D held Arkansas to a shutout in the first half was because the offense stayed on the field all first half. You understand that right? The 4th quarter is irrelevant dude. The ballgame was over.

UGA got burned all day. Their offense was also going 3 and out.

Felipe made ways when needed that what good qbs do. We dont even remotely have one as good as him on our roster

Franks isn't a good QB. He's the same guy who was average at UF. I really wish people would stop saying he's good; being better than the QBs on our roster doesn't make him good.

Tennessee hasn't been able to defend the slant all year for the most part, it just wasn't last night.

And?? People talk about the slant like it is easy to defend against, but those short, dink and dunk passes are some of the hardest things to defend against. Teams with competent qbs are going to be able to carve defenses up with those passes. We haven't had a good passing qb in so long we have no idea that decent qbs are able to accurately hit receivers across the middle in traffic. We have a qb who can't throw it across the middle without throwing a pick.
Also, today's game favors offense. Quit expecting total shutouts. Those are a thing of the past. The fact is our defense shut them out for three quarters. That would have been enough to win if we had a competent offense. Our offense is so bad they constantly went three and out. That was obviously a factor in some of the defensive lapses. They were exhausted.

Franks isn't a good QB. He's the same guy who was average at UF. I really wish people would stop saying he's good; being better than the QBs on our roster doesn't make him good.

He’s completing 67% of his passes for 14 TDs and only 3 interceptions. Against an all-SEC schedule I’d say that’s pretty good.

Hyatte is the biggest threat and sees the field 2-3 times a game but of course we have no QB

I don't think we have a quarterback that can get the ball to him deep.

We gave up 24 points and about 250 yards in the 2nd half regardless of the 4th qtr shutdown you referenced. No sir the defense also sucks.

JG was not the problem, please note we were ahead 13-0 at the end of the half. The "we demand Bauer" crowd got their wish, how did that go?

Do you understand why we have a limited offensive gameplan and ran the ball about 30
plays compared to 8 passes ? JG lack of skills is a cancer on this team and the no. 1 reason we have lost 4 games.
