Sources told ESPN that Texas A&M officials have approved a 10-year, $75 million fully guaranteed contract for Fisher, which is the richest deal in college football history in terms of total value. He'll be the second highest-paid coach in the FBS with an average salary of $7.5 million, which ranks behind only Alabama's Nick Saban.

Just so you understand what your competition in the SEC is doing, and what it takes to go TAKE a top tier coach back home.. This number doesn't even include the insane raise they throw at their assistants and support staff.. Bamas support staff that Saban has, former NFL coaches, scouts, administrative types dwarfs Tenns in both size, quality, and money..
The game has changed and while Mrs Davenport says she NOW understands, I really don't think she does..

A&M just made UT look like Einstein.

75 mil for a guy that just produced a losing record in the ACC because he lost his qb......good luck with the SEC west.

After the changes UT made today, I’m not sure why anyone would continue to bad mouth.

Let’s be positive and get behind the movement.

Cry about p**** or something.

Can we wait until the new coach is announced or do we just blindly get in line behind Fulmer, is the question?

Jimbo protecting himself with that 10-year contract from being dumped in 3-4 years by an unhappy fanbase. I bet his buyout his hefty, especially in those early years of the contract.

Yea, it's $75M. That's a guaranteed contract

That buyout has to be massive. The problem with making a deal like this is that if he fails in 4-5 years TAMU will have to eat that buyout.
