A MUST LISTEN-Chris Dortch talks Santiago Vescovi...

CRB may just be trying to keep expectations reasonable concerning Vescovi. Probably did not want to tip off that Lamonte was playing his last game today.
I would not read too much into all this. If Vescovi can run the point, he will be playing.

I think a lot has to do with Barnes not wanting to give anything to the kid for nothing. He shouldn't say the kid will start and play, or give 15 minutes, whatever, before he even arrives. No, Vescovi will have to prove himself. So, I don't think it necessarily means Barnes has decided he won't play. It means he'll have too warm a spot on the floor.

Gonna play NOW!

I think we will insert Nkamhoua into the starting lineup. Technically that puts Pons back at wing, where he was less effective, but maybe we can post him up a lot more now that he has some experience down there.

I don't think Johnson can give us starter minutes, and I'd prefer to keep Ticket coming off the bench with his energy.

Vescovi will probably get 10 to 15 minutes a game. Both James and Bowden can run the point guard position. Against pressing teams you may see more Vescovi, but I think his role will be similar to what James Daniel gave us a couple of years ago.

Who would relieve Fulk and Oliver?

Pember will be used, but Barnes said he is not physically ready.......so how much do you want him to be used right now?
