According to NCAA rules, if a head coach is fired in the middle of the season, players from that team will immediately have 30-day window to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. That's ahead of the 30-day window for the portal that opens on Dec. 4.

I'd be targeting Walter Nolen and Evan Stewart (of course everyone will, too) who have ties to the state/program moreson than any of their other bigtime players.

Walter Nolan is not eligible to play at UT.

Whole roster looks ripe for picking. TON of very talented, young players.

Kinda funny if you think about it, this roster if it had stayed in tact would be a sec championship worthy roster next year or the following. Jimbo just could t do well enough on the field to see it materialize.

Players I’d contact
- Evan Stewart (Sophomore WR from Memphis)
- Chase Bisonitis (Freshman OT)
- Trey Zuhn (Sophomore OT)
- Shemar Stewart
- Gabriel Dindy (Freshman DT)
- Sam McCall (Sophomore DB)

Dindy and McCall haven’t played too much but they are both former 5*.

I’d go after their OTs and OGs. And a TE.

I wanted Evan Stewart but I remember during his recruitment the staff stayed away from him. Idk what the story is but we definitely didn’t pursue him like we should have considering his talent and ties to the program.

Their OL set historic records for awfulness vs the Vols and posters want those players. I am so confused.
I wouldn’t judge any freshman OL that harshly but if that’s the best we get from the portal it will not be a good sign

How do you figure that?
He took money to come to UT on recurring Visit. He’s one of the kids that was named in the Pruitt issues. Also we had 35 transfers because mainly they was ineligible to play for UT, and as soon as they transferred they become eligible to play right away. Why you think players like Eric Gray, Key, Wayne Morris played right away? The players that was involved in the pay for play deal with Pruitt are not eligible to play for UT.

Can’t be any worse than what we have and he is getting meaningful reps as a freshmen unlike our coach being loyal to upperclassmen.

Again, freshmen in the SEC.
The fact that he’s getting reps tells me they had no other choice 😅. He’s small and slow. Not a good combo

He has never had to pay back any money, he’s eligible here.

He is not eligible to play at UT. Even if he paid bakc the $2700 he took, he would need to pay it back and then request clearance from the NCAA. He’s not coming to UT even if he wanted to. Be to much trouble to get him eligible than what it’s worth for 1 year. He going pro after his junior year.

Would like to get his brother though in a couple years. They moved to Texas because of Jimbo. Maybe they move back to Knoxville after this year

It doesn’t matter. He took money. He would have to pay it back to become eligible anywhere if they were trying to enforce it (they don’t care at this point - they only wanted Pruitt/UT). They can’t bar him from UT and not other schools. You’re either amateur or not.

But as I said, we wouldn’t pursue him anyway due to the baggage and likely a severed relationship on either or both sides.
