We will take it from them in College Station.

Not that I'm overlooking the dogs, but I just did. It won't be a gimme in Athens, and I do expect the dogs to bring their A game, but I also expect our Vols to take it to them early and often throughout the entire game. #120 knows they need to start fast and finish strong, we are going to see a show come Saturday. So A&M take care of The Belt for us, see y'all on the 8th.

Go Vols!

Sure hope Kirkland is back for that one - Knight looks difficult to stop when he runs

To be fair, our defense has done a helluva job adjusting throughout the games this year. Evans for VTech comes to mind immediately, it seems like he was a big problem for us in the first quarter, and we slowly started figuring him out and limiting him. While I think Knight is the better QB between him and Evans, I trust our defense. Knight could start off on fire, but I wouldn't be worried unless he's still giving us fits in the 2nd quarter or even the 2nd half.

Some of our guys on defense have the advantage of already facing Knight back in 2014. Knight didn't run the ball much in that game, he lit us up through the air. Our defense is much much better and we also have a better coordinator who makes great adjustments.

I think Knight will be the best QB we face this season, and he's gonna make his plays, but I have faith in Shoop and our defense that we will limit his plays as the game goes on.

EDIT: to comment on your Kirkland comment, I agree with you, I trust Kirkland much more when it comes to limiting QB scrambles

Collegefootballbelt.com

An actual belt that is passed from team to team based on who wins the game. TCU held the belt coming into the season and Ar took it from them and then A&M took it from Ar and we are going to take it from A&M on the 8th.

On hold it for a long while.

Plan A.

I had never heard of it until recently and still didn't remember until your explanation.

If no one knows about it, is it a big deal?

I never heard of it till last year.

Just some hardware I wanted us to acquire during our NC run. It has worked out where we will.

lose to a7m, beat alabama, beat a&m in SEC rematch.

Tough task to say the least. Definitely doable if we play like we did in the second half against UF. I hope that game made the team wake up and realize what they can accomplish if they p,ay up to their potential.

You should be. One thing I would caution fans about. Don't go pulling a florida. The team that talks too much will be introduced to karma. Don't poke the bear!

There is no such thing as karma. I'd rather our players talk AND back it up, but as long as they keep winning it's all good.

Seems like Butch has done a pretty good job at keeping players from running their traps.

Yes, we have smarter players. That's why we are going to start winning the bigger games, but I'm afraid some dippy yahoo is going to do something stupid to incite karma. Everyone of us has to be responsible now because of the internet. We all have a voice now.

I'm very concerned with Arkansas as well.

Wow! Can't believe you don't believe in karma. I'd love to live in your world. Alice seemed to like it a lot. :p
