A little perspective about Jones vs Spurrier

The idea is to beat our opponents, which neither Dooley nor Jones as done. Beating USC doesn't mean diddly if you can't beat georgia and florida. Jones has also lost twice to weak florida teams, so what does that tell us? Things look better for us because of Dobbs, who is only playing because of Worley's injury. You realize that if Worley had not got hurt, we would almost certainly have lost the SC game?

I predicted his first two seasons to be a wash to begin with because I'm not ignorant to the fact that your chances of success aren't very high when you have true freshman playing at almost every position. 2 wins against USCe to me, is just extra credit.

If we make it to a bowl game this year, then give the coach and his staff raises. If we do not get a bowl this year, then no raises!

Calm down folks. I'd rather be 2-0 against any of the 3 coaches I mentioned rather than Spurrier.

So because someone makes one observation, another one can't be posted? I'll remeber that in future posts(not really).

Weak or not, Florida is still a very talented team just like they showed versus UGA. .

Check NFL rosters in 2 yrs. Bama, Georgia and Florida had far more talent than Tennessee

0-2 vs. Saban
0-2 vs. Muschamp
0-2 vs. Richt

2-0 vs. OBC is impressive, but the others far outweigh it.

You completely missed the point of the article. The top 3 have had consistent top 10 recruiting classes. They have depth we won't see for 2 more years. With SC, we are much closer in talent have won back to back. That's coaching.

The armchair slithers out from under the pile of dung where he lives and offers his useless opinion. I am sure you were a high school parade all American and runner up in the heisman balloting your senior year when you single handily won the national championship.
Thanks for sharing your oasis of knowledge in this desert of ignorance.:eek:lol:

Does it? What was Dooley's record vs them? You must actually be a yankee huh?

What on earth would Dooley's record have to do with setting a standard for success?

Jones needs to start beating Richt, Saban, and Muschamp or whoever their coach is after this year. How can you dispute that at ALL?

Spurrier has not had a losing season since 1987, his first year at Duke.

Miles is 38-19 against ranked teams.

According to Daj, UT has had more raw talent than USCe the past couple of years. Coaching... is actually when you take a roster disadvantage and beat a Saban, Richt, or (gulp) Muschamp.

He needs to start winning those games like Pinkel does.... or for that matter like Spurrier does.

What i dont get is why in the world they would try a 58 yard fieldgoal instead of trying to go for a 25 yard first or maybe even a hailmary...i'm happy with the results but just seems so unlike a ss team...
