Meaning a decision had not been reached, for whatever reason it has been now. Maybe they were waiting for a specific person or maybe they realized that there was no point in delaying. No one outside of Hart knows the reasons why regardless of what is said.

I swear that man must've crashed his car into a truckload of mirrors at some point in his life. Either that or Saban put a curse on him when he left for La Tech.

heres a scenario :

if its bright and sunny outside and the channel 2 weatherman says "it will rain tomorrow" ..then i turn to channel 4 and the weatherman there says "no, it will not rain tomorrow" ..then the next morning its dark windy and cloudy and the i turn on channel 4 and the weatherman now says "its gonna rain today!" ....would any reasonable person not think the channel 4 weatherman was a clown?

your stance is the other sources weeks ago could not have possibly known anything but your guy is legit

come on now.

Save yourself the trouble. People had been saying this in the Gruden thread for over a week when you came in there saying that Dooley was going nowhere according to your source. Now another week later you are saying what they said two to three weeks ago. Now you start an entirely new thread to confirm whateveryome here knows. Next time just save yourself the trouble.

First of all, you are assuming that he said it was 100% that he was coming back. Second, you are assuming that decision was made 3 weeks ago and it was not. Third, a decision was not made 3 weeks ago but it has been now barring a miracle. Nothing is 100% and anything can change. You keep believing Gruden is a 100% lock. Who will you blame when it doesn't happen?

Miracle? I don't think beating Troy,Mizzou,vandy,UK,or winning the music city bowl would be considered a miracle and saving his job.

There is a little core group of folks in the Gruden thread that have sources or hear things from different folks. I think they are "everybody." To my knowledge they never gave a timeline until recently that the end of the season was most likely. Some have wavered just a little. Some have been steadfast. Mostly, they don't care who believes them. That's the way it should be.

There have been plenty of folks pop in with "sources" that have spewed any number of things. Those folks have muddied the waters to say the least.

Believe what you want. That is why it's called the rumors and speculation section. Whatever is going to happen, is going to happen anyway.

I'm beginning to think you are the only credible one on here no matter what some think. I believe they want change so badly that they will take anything in line with what they want as gospel. We will all know what's going to happen in about 4 weeks and until then I will just enjoy the show.

Don't be mistaken: there are people who know things. The problem is that there are a bunch of people who know nothing, but still act like they do. The only way to tell the difference is to see what happens. My contacts haven't wavered.

You are correct there are people that know about Dooley's future but outside of Dave Hart no one knows his replacement yet regardless of what is said on this board. Believe the Gruden rumors if you want to, these same rumors took place when Dooley was hired.
