Which boosters were those? The objections to Kiffin came primarily from two sources: Those responsible for keeping UT NCAA compliant and tradition-oriented fans who didn't like his disdain for UT history/tradition. I am not aware of anyone who didn't think he could coach or recruit. Questions about his recruiting "prowess" have risen as we've watched the only class he actually signed disintegrate.

Best I can tell... you have two wins vs current BCS AQ schools in your history.

UT has twice as many FBS NC's as you have wins against teams from a conference that has ever won a NC.

Realizing just how ridiculous it is to even have to say this... but you do realize that UT would win the FCS championship in virtually any year, right?

The line is running about -29 for UT. We have to forget what UT did with a favorable line under previous coaches; Dooley will build his own rep.

I think I went UT 52-13 in the "Predict the Score" thread. I also had Bray for 220, figuring he's sipping Gatorade by midway through the 3rd quarter. But I keep seeing UT predicted at the mid to high 30's, against anywhere from 14 to 20 for Montana, in the major sports websites.

I think they're wrong. UT...big.

I look for UT to keep it fairly vanilla, but I think the O-line, with a year under their belt...Poole and Lane finding lanes, and exploiting them...and Bray given a few chances to find his range with the new WR's, will turn in a solid performance. I also think the defense will be better than expected, at least against Montana. I look for the Vol defense to totally disrupt the Montana offense, and the Vol offense to pound the rock, with a few screens, slants, and deep routes tossed in.

I think it's over by halftime. I give Montana credit for one good drive, and a couple of field goals by way of a punt return, turnover, or a drive that comes up short. The Vols get 30+ in the first half, and then play nice in the 2nd. While I expect to see the 2nd and maybe 3rd team on offense, I think Dooley lets Wilcox play hard ball, which means different looks and zone blitzes all game long, regardless of which "string" is in.

In the end...Vols by just short of 40.

He says he has great respect for the Grizzlie's and follows it up by saying he know's very little about their program. Can you have great respect for something you know nothing about? Stay classy Reverie

Actually, fairly common when UT plays a serious "dog". Some idiot logs on to the opponents fan blog; claims to be a UT fan; and then spews off at the mouth. Whether it's an actual UT fan, or a rival claiming to be so is irrelevant...dress up an idiot, and you end up with a good looking idiot, right?

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. Won't change the final score by a single point.

Oh...where in Powell? That's where I grew up. Went to the old PES...opened the (then) new PMS...and Powell High.

I'm about one mile from PHS. Powell hasn't changed much the last 30 years until you get over to the interstate. Once you get there it's like a completely different world now....

Our fan base has plenty of class. I haven't said one negative thing about your team. I've ripped on a few of your posters who needed it but I have nothing but respect for UT. You'll find most griz fans are the same way.

lmao....oh my!!! Let's get honest here. Many of the Montana posters have come over to post, excited to be playing UT, and excited to talk about our team. Their is nothing wrong with that. However, Volnation posters have absolutely jumped most of them with a bunch of sad arrogant remarks. This board treats Montana fans like they are Alabama or Florida, and you wonder why you have such a horrible reputation.

Having said that, I personally know that EVERY Vol fan I know in person is a great friend, good conversationalist and classy person. If the posters hear showed that much class just think what the opinions of others would be in regard to Volnation. There is a double standard among many here, we can talk about our traditions, our team, and how we view our opponent and get treated like garbage. However, you do the same and we should bow down to you like your some kind of mythical god.

Sorry folks, all message boards have classy and classless posters. Just becase its an opposing fan visiting your site doesnt mean they are evil. Now I know people out and about tomorrow will not treat Montana fans like they do here, because I know the people.

So lets not go casting stones at Montana posters. I can make a list of 15-20 Volnation posters that made the comments AG said look like a choir boy at a church picnic. We all have them, and yes I know this is a Vol board.
