Does anyone else find the preliminary arrest/altercation reports a little hard to believe?

Something just feels a little off to me...like there's more to this story.

Not to say it's impossible, but just feels a bit odd to me.

Wes Rucker just said--

"Just heard from a source I trust that #Vols coaches are intensely investigating Janzen Jackson's role in this morning's situation.

Obviously, Edwards' and Nuke's roles seem more cut and dry. Jackson's may be, too, but that's what they're investigating.

So, maybe there is a little something here to look at.

he's not defending anyone. He's just saying that something in the story being presented right now just doesn't add up.

Not sure I agree.

What seems odd? Can someone summarize. Stuck at work and don't have the time to read through the articles.

My first thought was the whole thing was a misunderstood prank. Pellet guns, hooded sweatshirts, a prius getaway car...it sounds like a SNL skit. The sheer stupidity of doing this on the strip is hard to believe as well.

If I had to guess, my bet would be JJ gets charges dropped and Kiffin handles it internally. But after the rumors of failed drug tests and what not, he may be gone anyway.

Richardson and Edwards are gone for sure, or should be.

"at least one of the suspects was wearing UT athletic apparel during the robbery"

They did it, they were ID'ed. The only hope is that maybe Janzen Jackson can get out of this because he wasn't involved in the actual robbery. Nuke is gon and so is Richardson, the only playing time in Nuke's future is going to involve the showers at a Tennessee state prison. It's a shame!!!!

I'm certainly not defending. Perhaps I'm just confounded at they absolute sheer stupidity, and it's just difficult for me to understand. Just waiting to see what happens. There's honestly not too many good, legitimate reasons for anyone to be on the strip at 2am. Typically stories like this will follow.

It seemed odd for about one minute. Then watching the video of them being cuffed and put into the back of a patrol car stopped that feeling for me.

Like my dad always said, "The only people out after 12 are cops and thieves, and I don't see a badge on any of these boys."

Maybe they were just joking like this former fsu player in trying to rob a convenience store the other day! That will be their first defense--it was just a prank!

Ex-FSU football player jailed for robbery prank | store, jennings, prank - News - Northwest Florida Daily News

My FSU homer roommate just told me about this. This def ranks up there in stupidity as well

The UF player that shot an AK-47 but was allowed back on the team cracks me up. Funny thing is i never heard anything about it yet our players are on every media outlet known to man

Uf players never get in much trouble after all the crimes they commit. The G'ville police and university just cover everything up and they get back on the team.

These idiots were looking for money to buy weed. That is why they did what they did. The only way this goes away if the two victims do not press charges. Maybe a booster can buy them off!

I'm not as disappointed about the armed robbery as I am about our street cred. It took a real blow.
