I'm fed up with not Seeing UT in top 10 rankings, and I'm fed up of espn not even mentioning UT, I'm fed up with UT not being in the " Teams with greatest % to make the playoff. The fans need to show up and have a atmosphere like the 2015 OU game EVERY game. its on the fans just as much as the team. We also need around 8-9k more seats.[/QUOTE
I’m pretty sure you meant to type this in blue font??

I don't for one minute think Tennessee football will never be relevant again. These things go in cycles. Every team in the SEC has had their failures over extended periods of time. Yes, even mighty 'bama. The current administration seems to want to right the ship. Heupel is sort of an unknown quantity but does have experience as a head coach, and as someone else in another post said, has brought in a very good group of assistant coaches. I don't see Heupel micro managing everything like Butch and Pruitt, and I don't see AD White meddling in the program the way Fulmer probably was. I'm willing to give Heupel the chance to prove himself.

In his sleep, Nationdom fans better than most of us do at our best. I'm proud he's one of us.

It's like if a family member is ill and about to pass, having loved ones close by can bring them back to life and almost heal them entirely. Thats why the fans need to be on their A game, all game, every game.

So, TN doesn't need better administrative support? They need a Faith Healer?

I guess that's one way to go. Earnest Angley ain't walking through that door though.

I think Oklahoma and Texas joining the SEC will have very little impact on UT's schedule. We are going to 9 conference games and I doubt we see them that often. At worse, they replace the tough, losable, OOC game we play every year.

Plus Texas is in a very similar spot to the Vols right now.

It is rough if you engage in any general football discussion with rival fanbases. Tennessee's struggles are very apparent and it has made us a joke (or worse irrelevant) on most football discussion boards. We have no recent history to talk about. The closest we were to being relevant were in 2015 and 2016 under Butch Jones.

We could put 100k in the stands and 200k around the stadium and none of us would score a TD or stop a 3rd 4 play.
But I'll still be there screaming my head off helping create as intimidating atmosphere as I can with 102463 brothers and sisters so maybe one of the 11 orange clad has a little extra juice to score of make a stop.

You have to be good to be discussed in the the top 10 or considered a championship contender.

Honestly, if you can't be a fan and deal with the reality that is your team, perhaps you should consider jumping on the bandwagon of a more successful program.

The only time I see UT these days when it's not gameday is when Kentucky, and freaking Texas A&M are running through us like doo doo through a goose. The fans need to step up. No more bs and complaining about small seats. stand. cheer. and pack Neyland with 107k plus every GameDay.
When Kentucky and freaking Texas A&M stop running through us like doo doo through a goose, the fans will come.

Alrighty then…I hope you feel better now. We all appreciate your rant, and share your disappointment with the current state of affairs to some degree. As I always have, I enter this season with high hopes for the season and hope to see a marked improvement in just about every aspect of the team. I tend to at least see how the team reacts to a new head coach before I give up on the season. At least wait until we get some of Finger’s reports of fall practice for goodness sake.

Just something about sniffling and whining over how bad we are with no hope of ever being good that just isn't very handsome. In fact...it's attention-seeking at its best. Some might say... covertly narcissistic! Mainly because NO ONE feels sorry for us and that's the way it should be. So why do we feel sorry for ourselves? Ah...just one psychiatrist's point of view. What does he know?:cool:

Just as a starting point, I am going to be happy to see if we can get 11 players (and only 11) on the field for most plays!
I’m starting with a low bar.

I’m starting with a low bar.

Get the basics down: lining up properly on defense every play, offensive line blocks someone on every play, successfully complete a slant, throw the ball away instead of taking a sack, throw a receiver open...

Baby steps.

I love hopping on here to see all the “fed up” posts before the season even starts. Then I get to see words capitalized in the middle of the sentence and quotation marks that awww opened and don’t get closed. Thank goodness there’s so much great insight on these posts.
