I agree, it isn't. That aspect is easily about having too many cooks in the kitchen (it's not a competition if there are 10 people in there, where you have to limit snaps, and yeah I'm exaggerating on purpose) and are maybe giving too much emphasis to reps on air. Evidently. JG is good in practice, which makes him THE most dangerous competitor of the bunch. Let's face it, it's not often you win such competitions and be an abosoute failure. My wonder is how he does in as-real-life scrimmages? Here is the real separator. JG has issues showing up in football on game day. Period. You can drag out every stat you got.....don't matter......what do you do on Saturdays? Hell he can't even do it with 25% attendance, something I thought would lessen the pressure. That said he may still be the extreme exception, and not the rule. It isn't an indictment on him personally, it's just what is is.
I can't speak to coaches, but I've held a couple of "political" positions in my career. That said it's sports.....if you've played "major" sports, baseball, softball, football, basketball, soccer, you know there are participants who have little talent for a given sport, those who physically look good (Tarzan vs Jane), those who never achieve their potential, and those who come out of no where. And then there are the coaches. You scratch your head with them as they have been playing/coaching for years....but don't grasp this? At this point? A lot here doesn't make sense. GBO this weekend.....but more so for the rest of the year.
