i give bama all the credit in the world for putting up a good fight in knoxville. it was a grinder the whole time.

i dont care if we beat bama by 30 or if we beat them with two ncaa infractions. a win is a win.

Does anybody remember 1998. That was a team that won ugly more than once, but always found a way to win. That my friends shows a team with heart, guts and a destiny for greatness. I'm not saying were the same, but my point is winning ugly aint all bad.

Yeah, the front 4 did a pretty good job of flushing JPW all day long and then at the end when he was slowed down they started sacking him.

Well they mainly got to him in the second half.

And that final couple of sacks was b/c we blitzed a linebacker and they didnt have enough blockers. Mayo got the last sack.

Yes a win is a win, and the this rivalry game produced another thriller. The only thing that bothers me is that we were in Alabama territory 10 times and only got 3 FGs and a TD. Other than that, GO VOLS AND CONGRATS.

Ummmmmm, seriously?

Did you see the last two plays of the game? The front 4 iced it for us with consecutive sacks. They also held Darby under 50 yards or so. The front four had a coming out party in this game.

I'm talking more in standard situations rather than last minute drives when you know the other team can't run it.

They're going to need a push this week since USC has a QB that will hurt you more running than throwing. They need to keep him off time throwing but they probably won't be able to send LB's on every play.
