I can't determine who it was. But if we knew exactly what year this was, that would be a start.

Carl Pickens is playing safety so it's 1989. I think that's Doug Matthews as he was the DC and also posted the video.

Good ol Doug Mathews. I know people on here are crying because of what he said. But at least the defense played with intensity....

I was at that coton bowl game. My tickets were 2nd row, about the 45 yard line, behind the TN bench.
Chuck Webb set right in front of us on the bench. What a day he had!

That is indeed Coach Doug Mathews. We were there for a great game between two entertaining teams. Listen to Doug on radio every Saturday & Sunday.c:rock:

I thought it was Matthews, but wasn't sure. It struck me funny after hearing him on the radio for so long.....kinda like the Casey Kasem meltdown while doing the snuggles long distance dedication

OH LORD if a coach did that today he would be fired, that was the good old day's when football was football instead of 2 hand touch a DB could put a finger on a shoulder pad and not draw a flag i don't understand why we dont do away with the pad's you dont need them anymore if you hit someone hard you are thrown out, the NFL is trying to take out the kick off, i know my friends someone might get hurt but you know what how many people lose there life driving to work each day.

Make football great again right? It still happens once in awhile and nobody loses there job(maybe the dumb producer who puts a live mic on a heated coach). Go to bed gramps.

P.S. Love me some Doug Mathews.
