A good handgun

I'd go online and check the reviews on the Beretta before considering it. They used to have a bad rep. Haven't kept up so I don't know how they are now. 229 is hard to beat if you can get a good price. They are expensive. Knoxville used to have a great gun show at the Fair Grounds in the Jacob building. One of the best I've ever been to. Might check to see if they still are doing it there. Went to one, in Kville, at the exposition center on Clinton highway and it wasn't much. That was 7-8 years ago, though. A gun show will get you in the mood to make an instant purchase, for sure.

When I lived in Cali, I went to the Roy Rogers museum. I was amazed at the guns he owned. Many of them, maybe all of them, were given to him. I saw some Colts that were loaded with gold. Also, Winchester rifles, etc. Amazing collection.

This one probably wasn't as big as the Knox one, but it was at a convention center and it was a packed house.

I remember you talking about the Beretta, so I am definitely going to look. I saw some crazy stuff. There was a 1911 with an internal silencer.

Silencers don't work like they do in the movies. Might as well wrap a pillow around it. Same effect. Any machine guns there?

Mac 10 and a skorpion. But I don't think they were for sell, just for demonstration. They had a M60 type deal for a demo too. I saw Barrett .50s, 1967 M16, Ak47s and 74s, SCAR, M4, SKS.

My friend almost pulled the trigger on a Mosin Nagant for $200.

I saw your 500 tactical.

First gun show I went to, they had a 50 cal BAR for sell. I wanted it bad. Settled for a 12 gauge street sweeper.

Armsel Striker?

Didn't see one there. Would have enjoyed that. They had a few pump .22s which were cool. There were so many knives. I wish I could have been on mobile and gotten your recommendations on one.

or tape a 2 liter cole bottle around the muzzle
guy i used to work with up here lives in a failry good size suburb in Northwest Chicago..

he was seeing a coyote cutting thorugh his yard on the way to a conservation area behind his house..

he called animal control about it, and they gave him the run around about doing anything..

so he sets up a shooting area inside an upstairs bedroom, (a chair by the window), tapes a 2 liter coke bottle over a .223 muzzle and waits for Mr Wiley to come trotting through..about the 3rd day he's sitting up there at dusk, mr wiley doesn't make it to the conservation area, he killed him in his backyard from an upstairs bedroom window

Mosin Nagants used to be $35. I haven't seen any for over $110 now though.

I went to the local gun show today as well. My first time ever going. I was honestly disappointed, man. All there was, was Glock after Glock. Sure they have a good rep for reliability, but they feel like a 2x4 in the hand. I have considered the Beretta also, but they are really not as good as advertised. They only have a 1-3 yr warranty on their products also, while the majority of others have a lifetime warranty. If you haven't do so research on Walther PPQ. This is what I've been after. They are extremely accurate, 100% reliable, crazy good trigger, ergonomically friendly and not to mention one sexy pistol and its backed by a lifetime warranty
