Proves my theory that superior talent wins most of the time over inferior talent.
Coaches never take a snap or make a tackle.
If you don't have the best horses in your stable, you ain't winning many races.
Does not matter who the jockey is.
With our lower tier SEC talent, we will win some and lose some against the other bottom level conference teams but will be blown out most of the time against the top teams.
That is where the program is and where it will remain until we buy better horses.
Hugh Freeze is not a coaching savant. He could not ride the mules in our barn to a major victory.
He beat Saban twice with players on equal talent level with Alabama that the Ole Miss boosters bought for him to take to the races.
How many would put money on Freeze's undefeated powerhouse Liberty team to have a better record than our Vols against the schedule we have played? I suspect they would not have a win.
Talent does make a difference
Coaching is equally if not more important
Well coached teams dont make mental mistakes
Well coached teams improve continually
The game day coaching aspect is a minor part of coaching and doesnt make a tremendous difference. Well run programs and practices are where real coaching make a tremendous difference.
So yes..Hugh Freeze would win more than Pruitt with this team.
