Yeah. Thanks BJ for ruining my son’s life and alot of others. Thanks for ruining his love of football. His time on your team should have been fond to remember for the rest of his life not a nightmare ! Thanks for ruining my love for my beloved Vols for 4 years. I love my Vols again. Gonna wear orange everyday this week!

Father of a former UT player, I take it.
Although, everyone here would love to know who he is, it’s none of our business.
Unless, you want to tell us,
Anyway, yes, it’s a new day and a Great day to be a Vol!

UT has thanked him. Millions of times over each year he was here and for many years to come. Dude was hired to do a job. He was good at gathering the tools for said job by over selling what actually was going on, as evidenced by so many transfers. Too bad even the best tools cannot mask the deficiencies of a guy who can't even pull a tape measure out.

Really wanted Butch to succeed, but he was in a little bit over his head. I appreciate the mess he cleaned up. Can't really understand all the negativity, let him go in peace. Now, let's find a great coach and quickly turn this around. I truly believe we can!

GBO!!!

We appreciate the work ethic, recruiting top players, bring in Josh Dobbs and other players to represent the University well. The bowl games were fun and several exciting games.

No need to dwell on the negatives, at the end of the day it just wasnt good enough. No hard feelings and good luck in the future.

Thank you for this thread. Jones deserves a lot of thanks from us, imo. One thing I never questioned about Jones was his work ethic or love for Tennessee.

Yet another baseless rant about something with no details. A child's life was ruined by CBJ and noone has the courage to speak up until after he is gone. Yeah, ok.

I have learned in my career that once someone is fired it becomes open season. Everyone takes a shot at the carcass. It is a disgusting practice IMO. Obviously the job was getting done right or they would still be doing the job.

I have been saying stuff since his second year but no one listened

Another A Whole ^

Might want to hear the guy out.

At least now people can talk about what has been going on within the program, now that the CBJ media lockdown will be lifted. People don't have to fear losing their jobs or access any more.

That should be one of the biggest things we question in the wake of this. Why was CBJ so dead set on clamping down on the media and preventing them from reporting on anything that was negative or questionable about this system or decisions? I don't buy the "it hurts recruiting" angle.

Hear him out? He isnt saying anything. Yet we will now hear all these one sided stories....like always.

Do we should respect people that will not speak out against wrongdoing, because they are scared of having access restricted? Yeah, no.

It’s over, he’s gone and I and many others were granted our wish. No need to pile on and attack him personally

Without going into who your son is, can you at least articulate what it is that Jones did to your son?

People have to have jobs. Media works a little differently - get canned in one market, you are likely to get blackballed across all markets. Unless you've risen to a level where you are making the suits money on your own, a whole career can come crashing down in an instant.

Break a story of moral wrongdoing and nothing will happen to you.

Thanks for lecturing us on your offense and being arrogant your first three seasons.
In the end, your offense and arrogance led to your firing.

Good riddance.

Inmature, and, unnecessary.

Butch Jones, I was a fan of yours. You gave a lot to UT. I thank you for bringing us out of the Dooley ****hole

Best of luck, we tried sir. Your teams never quit. Thanks again.
