After the signing of BB yesyerday I'm am thoroughly stoked. This kid is every bit as good as Adrian Peterson coming out of high school, if not better. He is a freak, and with the coaching he's going to get, watch out. Not to mention Oku, Hardesty, Creer and Poole. We will be one of the top rushing teams in the conference(possibly nation) and a SEC Championship will be in reach this year. We get through Florida and I think we are good to go. I have faith our QB play will make leaps and bounds this year. I'm sure some will ridicule my optimism, just as they did when I said that we would be the surprise of National Signing Day, and look how that turned out. Maybe not on Feb. 4, but all in all I was pretty right on. So lets Go Vols and mess up some Gators! Me love you long time Bryce Brown!:)

I think our QB, whoever he is, will do enough. I think they'll use him like the Titans used Kerry Collins last year. Lots of play action, lots of screens and dumps. I'm worried about the lines though. I'm worried about our run D, and pass blocking on O.

As long as we don't have injuries on the O and D-line, and we are consistent at those positions, I think this year could be a good one.

Just watch the f bombs or they will eat your lunch around here. im not seeing a SEC championship this year, would be awesome but i think we will need another year or two before that could be asked for.

2011 is earliest possible year for SEC championship. UF, and UGA are too far ahead in talent and program implementation at this point. We'll have to play a lot of youngsters and/or JCs on the line of scrimmage in 2010 which is never a recipe for championships. 2011 will feature SEC experienced line of scrimmage stocked with mostly current staff recruits; a sophomore stud QB (assuming of course we land one or two in the 2010 class) and BB, Oku, Stephens? (the RB recruit from GA) will all be year 3 in the system. I suspect our D will be one of the best and nastiest in the country. I'm really looking forward to 2011. I think we'll have to be a bit patient through 2010, but should enjoy some exciting games with the speed and talent that this staff is recruiting.

I can see the after game quote now, " except for the blocking and tackling part, I think we played a pretty good game"

Whoa boy... slow down just a little. I like your optimism, but I think you went a little too far. The little "get through Florida" comment is a big IF. I mean they are returning the NC team. IF we do beat Florida (which I say we have about a 15-20% chance), then sure we have a chance to be in Atlanta come December. But isn't it that way every year? We beat Florida and we get to Atlanta?

If the coaches are as good as we hope and the team can avoid the injury bug... then there's a small but significant chance the Vols can make noise this year. Next year would take a miracle with the amount of youth UT will be forced to play though.

FTR, I think UGA is a team to really worry about this year. Loaded with Jr's and Sr's on D and their OL is now much deeper and experienced.

UGA's got some serious questions with the loss of Moreno and Stafford. They definitely have talent, but they don't concern me like the Bator's.

Got to remember neither Florida nor Alabama went undefeated last year. UT has more talent than Utah or Ole Miss on our team. Not guaranteeing victory...but damn it we can win.

We now have better coaches than Utah, Ole Miss, Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Florida, you name it. We have the best damn staff in the country. Yeah I said it.

Lets tap the breaks on the Adrian Peterson comparisons....anyone remember D. Scott that went to CU and chose them over Texas a couple years ago? Bust! Nothing is a sure thing.

Lets hold our predictions until BB is actually running over a Western Kentucky safety.

We need depth in the lines before such talk should start. Until then be patient, take a couple of upsets if you get them, then everyone starts chasing us in a couple of years. It sounds nice anyway.

I think some of you have been spiking the orange kool-aid with vodka and maybe some cocaine. Some of you people are marking down easy wins over places like South Carolina who has a tough defense, Ole Miss who Coach Yaw Yaw personally stocked with talent himself, and Georgia that will be better on the line on both sides of the ball. Yes we had a good recruiting class, but we still have a lot of question marks. I'm excited and optimistic, but let's be honest and realistic and ease up on the homerism. I can see this team going anywhere from 6-6 to 8-4, with some lucky breaks and good preparation maybe even 9-3 but that's a stretch imo. Claiming that we're going to win an SEC Championship in Kiffin's first year? Really? School pride is a great thing, but try really hard to make informed, educated guesses and predictions.

I'm sure this has been addressed a hundred times by now, but can someone who has been to the practices share your opinion on the tackles and blocking ?

2010-11 we will be stacked IMO. Might win 9 next season, I think that would be a nice season considering everything involved.

So with the class we currently have in place , we have enough to work with .(?) I just remember too many times last year Crompton and Stevens running for their lives and the wrong color jersey's camping the backfield way too early.

I like your optimism...I think it is a little beyond what we will do. I hope you are right though :)
