I wanted to talk about. I also want to say I havent been on in about 3 weeks so don't burn me please if these things have been discussed. First ESPN just finished their list of the 25 best SEC players from last year, not one UT player made it on that list. I would at least think that D. Moore or L. Stocker would be on the list. Second I also saw an article that Simms is still calling the starting QB position his and he thinks he is in good position to get it back. It is on GVX247.com but it wont let me read the whole article because I am not a member. Does anyone know if Bray is in trouble of losing the starting position to Simms. I would like to say no but I am not sure.

I think it's more Simms showing his "cockyness". Doubt he is the starter at any point during the season unless something horrible happens (God forbid).

Unless Bray has a complete meltdown or gets hurt, I doubt Sims will start again. However, I do like his competitive spirit.

1. Don't think Moore did enough consistently to be a top 25 conference player. Stocker is laughable, we didn't use him at all.

2. That's just player speak, nothing more. Bray isn't going anywhere.

I just saw recently where Dooley was saying Bray was the QB. WTF could have happened in the past week for things to change?

Interesting. I'm going to pretend like I didn't read this thread. Tennessee football...my first love...has bee miserable and frustrating for a while. Although next year wasn't going to be an SEC Championship year (more than likely) at least it seemed like things were getting back on the right track. Vols basketball is in shambles...and I did go to IU and IU has been miserable for years as well. In fact, vols football and IU basketball have been on similar paths for a while now it seems with bad coaching hires, ncaa trouble, etc. Point being things haven't been all that great lately with the teams I pull for but I thought tennesee football was the one closest to getting and staying on a good path. Until the bad news comes out...I'm going to assume Bray is the starting QB next year. GBO!

I hope all you nega-Vols say your prayers to the Football Gods, begging for forgiveness for slinging sh** at your own team members that you profess to be so endeared to. Your comments at times make me envision the poster boy for "Vol For Life" in orange and white striped prison garb with chains and shackles.

Ugh....can't wait for football to start so you can target the opponents and not your own.

SHHH...don't ask I think this thread is the Bermuda triangle of Volnation. But I agree with showtime.
1.To the OP, ESPN hates us, and Dmo is worthy.
2. Simms has his clipboard ready.

1) The whole list was compiled by Chris Low and I don't know why anyone cares what this guy believes was the Top 25 players last year. D. Moore not being on there is a joke.

2) Simms can't say in an interview that he's happy to be the backup. If that were the case, we'd be on here talking smack about "where is his competitive fire?"

I'm still baffled as to how Chris Low has a job. He's about worthless.

If anyone is willing to PM me the randomness of this thread my anxiety would thank you. Wishing it was April Fool's but that's a day early and threads don't usually disappear over night without some cause.

trolling is why many disappear. Just sayin

There is not an article on gvx247 saying Simms is the starting qb.

You oughta lighten up a little. You are going to strain some muscles in your shoulders and sphincter.

I think ESPN is one of those places you have to die or have a DUI to lose your job. Kinda like what seems to be the case for the AD at a certain Knoxville based university.

I don't see Simms getting the starting QB job back, but I do like his confidence. The initial thing that i noticed about him was the confidence that allows him to easily bounce back from an interception, a bad throw, etc. I easily recall the Clausen days and his confidence. If Simms could be as good on the field as Clausen was, then that confidence will have paid off.

unless Bray breaks something Simms will ride the pines (rightfully so I might add) and that is good news for us trust me, Simms is no Bray.:loco:

He'll be laughing all the way to the bank sparky.

I didn't say he doesn't have NFL talent, sparky...

We just very rarely used him, and at laughable amounts to be considered in the top 25 players based upon stats from last year. Go ahead and compile his stats and see where they rank up with all other players in the conference, then start laughing, sparky...
