A Few Random Quotes From An Oregon Board.

I think it's gonna be like the 06 game vs cal.

The Orange literally KNOCKED OUT CAL's starting TE(potential AA) and LB on the Kick-off. They never saw the field again. That scared the rest of the team. The rest is history.......... Don't know if we can hit'm like that that this year.

I only hope the coachs and team comes in thinking the same way. If we make it a slow paced dirty fight for every yard game we will hold our own. We've got to pound the run and get some PA passes goin. If the D can hold thy're own( which I hope Wilcox can plan) we've got a shot. And maybe Im on the kool aid again.

Those pimped out uniforms are landing them good players, and all those 4* and maybe 5* players that a lot of y'all on here cry about. With Nike down the road more kids are looking their way.

Kudos to you, you get it. Fans of other teams are always bashing Oregon's Unis. Well the players that we all try and recruit love them. Furthermore, players chosen get to work directly with Nike on ideas for uniforms. They also try/test Nike's football gear. The Nike Combat gear was released last year but the Ducks have been using/testing them for years now.

after the debacle at boise st, the coaches and players won't be thinking that way at all.

as for your game plan, it's spot on. if you can duplicate what boise and osu did then it will be a very tough game.

You can't seriously believe that uniforms are actually an important recruiting tool. Seriously. No joke? Which ones have mentioned the uniform as a primary reason they chose to attend OU?

Oh wait, you were being sarcastic. Please tell me you were being sarcastic. That's the only way your post would make any sense whatsoever.

It isn't a sole reason, just part of the package that they offer. You don't have to believe it but it's true. BTW....I have seen this several times now but we are UO, no OU. Oklahoma isn't coming to Knoxville, Oregon is.

I hope that they get that insurance before they step into Neyland... you know the kind that will pay for gas, bills, and other things that cannot be stolen in a frat house!

I find it very hilarious that with the year you have had with police reports that you can even dare talk about anyone else. Oregon is far from the stuff your kids have been pulling. If need be I will copy and paste them side by side:good!:

If you're going to go to the trouble post the articles about Masoli's record before you guys recruited him. Guy was a straight up thug before you recruited him.

Oregon fans are pathetic, celebrating their 10 years of football tradition...if it weren't for Phil Knight, that program would still be getting lubed up every Saturday.

Phil Knight didn't take an interest until the Rose Bowl in 95, Rich Brooks and Mike Bellotti had already started going to bowl games years before that. You're right in a sense though, Phil Knight has taken this team to new heights with his donations but he didn't start the program off on the right foot.......the coaches did. Many of whom are still there. Also, the team has about 22 years of tradition:) Lots of schools have donors who help their alma mater out though, so what? How many millionaires does Texas have in their pocket? Tennessee?

What they think about the Vols in Oregon means nothing. Go ahead & show up in those uniforms: Prestone anti-freeze green & baby puke yellow. Ya just might holler.

Easy as that... let's share this with the rest of the haters.

I just dont understand the bitterness.

If we had someone cherry pick some dumb quotes from your board the same stuff would be happening over there. This thread was created to incite the fans, for the most part those fans don't represent the good portion of Duck fans. Are we confident? Yes we are....not as much as we were before Masoli was booted but one thing remains true at Oregon....another QB will be developed into a good college player. Oregon has always had a good college QB since Brooks and Belotti started this thing. That isn't going to change. Costa doesn't have much experience but he is a 5th senior who knows the offense, bum knees but his smarts and know how will help make up for that. He also says his overall speed is the same as it was before his rash of knee injuries occurred. Darron Thomas was formerly an LSU commit.....that in itself speaks volumes on his talent and he has been here two years.

I'm just glad the game is in neyland. Wonder if the ducks have played in anything like our atmosphere. Also I think they will be surprised. I think this coaching staff and especially Bennie Wylie, I hope I spelled that right, has got these guys ripped and in shape in a way I've never seen before. I'm pretty excited. Go Vols!!!

SC has about 93k fans on hand, Udub has about 73, UCLA has quite a bit. Not on par with SEC standards but Autzen and Husky Stadium are on most people's top ten list for noisiest stadiums in college. Neyland will be an advantage for you as Autzen and our little ole 57k stadium will be for us but it won't be the jaw dropping effect you think it will be.

I don't hate Oregon, but the idea that the uniforms are a great recruiting tool is crap. The uniforms, combined with Oregon's "great run" in the last decade or so, has landed them recruiting classes that would render them irrelevant in the SEC title race.

If Oregon was in the SEC and the state of Oregon was actually in SEC country we would have gotten better recruiting classes than we have.....which still aren't the best....we develop better than most, just like OSU and Boise. The biggest challenge we have in recruiting is the distance between the states of Texas, Florida, Louisiana to Oregon. This is why we have so many little trick toys on campus, along with the fancy unis and whatnot. We have to convince kids to be far from home. If we were closer we would be even better.

I wasn't asking for a run down of Oregon's QB situation, but thanks anyways:good!:.

We have our share of unfriendly fans, see the thread I posted earlier today, but there is no reason that Tennessee and Oregon fans should bicker so much. No rivalry here, OOC game, we share a hatred for USC.

UCLA fans came on here and have been great. Just don't quite understand UO's distaste for us.

Just like I don't understand how we are viewed as a pushover or weak. Last I checked, we beat UCLA last year. Many things have been said, obviously not all are true. I had high hopes for this game when it was first scheduled. You had a different situation, Ducks fans were looking forward to facing a top SEC tem. I just hope it is that way when you come out west. We aren't going anywhere, we haven't even come close to peaking. Looking at the season prediction threads and what people have to say about this Oregon squad is hilarious.

eta....also, Oregon fans are considered the most rabid in the Pac Ten. Autzen is considered the toughest road trip as well (in the pac ten). We can get a little mouthy. lol

Last I checked Oregon wasn't "weak." In fact you guys are ranked in the top 10 right now. Tennessee is definitely in a rebuilding stage, but we will go nowhere but UP in the next few seasons. Tennessee will be vastly improved that time next year, so here's two an awesome two games.

Three things I feel good about... Wilcox, Oregon's inconsistent Def, and the fact that you "hostile fans" will be coming into a hostile STADIUM of over 100,000 fans.

This probably isn't worth my time but... compared to Florida, at alabama, and even LSU and UGA due to the fact that they are conference games, you are a pushover... less important. Granted, I'm still okay with focusing on you and hopefully whipping your tail.

troll? Whatever......sorry your skin is so thin nancy.

Oregon wins by 10:popcorn:

It's easy to talk it behind a keyboard isn't it? Your opinion doesn't hold much weight to me. I couldn't care less about Oregon football or the fact that you feel the need to come here and bolster Oregon's football team. I was just making a general observation. Many Oregon fans aren't here to talk about the game. They are here to boast about Oregon. Just like you. See: troll. DuckinTN isn't so bad or Wheaton, I can talk football with them. Wezcoast and you would be great friends though

Oregon wouldn't even let me sign up with VOL in my name on their site. You are lucky Volnation is a little more open.

Please come back after the OU/Tenn game so we can talk about FOOTBALL.

If we beat them, I promise you he won't be back.
