A few random quotes from an NC State message board

I watched those loses to Maryland in person. It was devastating and humiliating as an alum and fan. I hope we win because the game is critical to the perception of the program to fans and the players themselves. UT needs to win like Saban needs rogain.

Haha im sure if you go to the Akron board (play along with my fantasy world) they would even say they may win or have a chance. Fans of any team rarely sit and think about a game for 6 months and come to the conclusion that their team has no chance.

They have every right to think they will win....but they won't...at all.

Remember Montana fans coming on here and saying how it was going to be a tight game that should come down to the wire? Same with cincy fans last year,. We will get some pack fans here closer to the game..

the one poster seems very concerned about their LBs. would this benefit Rivera the most and possibly the run game?

Conferences and history don't play games so I don't care much about SEC vs ACC

I watched their team play last year and was underwhelmed - to me this is Cincy 2.0

If their LB's struggle in coverage as much as their posters fear then it is going to be a long day for them with the weapons we have in the passing game

If we don't win this game, it's gonna be a looooooong season. We should win pretty easy.

I wouldn't say pretty easy. NC State is a good team, but we should win.

I really think the surprise of this one will be the running game. I think they come out and establish the run.

Kind of amazing IMO, how the terds try to discount anything in our favor and cling onto anything that can be said against us, and still have the nerve to call themselves fans.

QUite a few of them aren't fans. They're opposing teams' fans.

Then they suck in the actual nega fans, like lemmings, and play them like violins.

A. Its good to see they actually have some semblance of hope for their team, thats what fans should do. Support the team they love.

B. its funny that the nega's around here try to discount the fact that the one common opponent we had last year blew them out and we blew out that opponent.. saying last years teams have nothing to do with it... but then keep bringing up our record over the last couple years and the UK game.. so our past does matter but theirs does not.

Kind of amazing IMO, how the terds try to discount anything in our favor and cling onto anything that can be said against us, and still have the nerve to call themselves fans.

Anybody that ever played even a decent amount of organized sports in their lifetime knows that the transitive property does not apply to sports.

We lose if it comes down to a Palardy FG attempt.
But I don't think it will be that close.

Some of them were pretty cocky, and some were pretty reasonable.

The kicking game as their advantage was the most died on comment of the them all imo. I'm sooooo worried about a game going down to the wire. I'd rather put the game in the hands of our D trying to block a 35+yd fg attempt at the end of the game then depending on our kickers having to kick a 30 yarder....sad.

I'm also cautious about starting the season against solid teams.

Their team has a very big weakness, the LB corp, that we can exploit w the TE and routes to the middle of the field.

Our team doesnt seem to have any area that can be exploited like their LB's. I don't see
us losing..... Their LBs are not good, not close.

Edit: If our Oline has improved and our RBs get into their LB area it's as good as over also.... Id bet us laying the 6.5 I saw recently

Montana fans came here in the early summer... that was weird.

My opinion: If it comes down to a FG then I have no confidence in Palardy to win a game.

However, I don't see it coming that close. I'm predicting a 35-13 score with a mid 3rd quarter pull away. 14-7 UT at half. Tyler Bray will have 300+ yds, 3 TDs and 2 short rushing TD's for Lane with 103 yads. JH will have a 30+ yard TD. Rivera has a TD. Da'rick has a TD. Defense has 4 sacks and 2 INTs (one to set up JH TD).

I hope I'm wrong and the final score is 56-0 :)

Speaking of, do you guys think Hunter will be in to try to block some FGs like he did against Cincy?

I wouldn't think cdd would put hunter into a situation like that with the chance of him getting hurt. Could u imagine the blow up on here??? He would have to block a kick that wins us Bama, fl, UGA, etc to not get a major neg outburst. Even from me.

We lose if it comes down to a Palardy FG attempt.
But I don't think it will be that close.

I agree with on the NC ST game. My comment was just a general overall season worry :ermm:

UT is in no position to underestimate any opponent next season imo. NC State is no cupcake to try to work the kinks out against. They will be ready. Hopefully our guys are too.
