Man u need help of your own. I'm sorry but attitudes like this stem from serious personal issues. I pray for you to find happiness some day.

I agree...for pennies a day you can send VolGraduate to the season opener and fulfill a life long dream.

Yes that's part of the story. Double leg casts and severe brain damage and dr thought the guy was okay to sit in the student section.

Don't have season tickets but be willing to buy you 3!! Little man will never forget his first game!!

 Everyone remembers their first. There should be a volnation fund of some sort to allow kids to experience the thrill of Neyland in the fall.

This guy is doing what he can for his family. If I had the spare money I'd give him some tickets. I've given spare tickets away any time I had the chance. The people belittling the OP have what's coming, things always correct themselves in the end.

Pacer,

I knew I liked you when we were slapping Ellis around in the Bourque thread. Now this, wow!

Good on ya!

Great gesture Pacer!

OP, I hope you, your son, and wife have the time of your lives! You'll make a memory that you'll never forget!

As for the poster with the numbers for a username, I can't even quote you. All I know is that you'll get yours someday. Consider yourself ignored, and you have now become the most despised poster on VN.

OK...It's great that MOST everyone is is speaking and wishing Pacer well for his generous offer...but talk is cheap...literally in this case. So, I propose we as VolNation put some money where our mouths are and help Pacer offset some of his obligation. Lets all chip in to not only help buy good seats, but pay some incidentals like gas, food etc.

I'm in for an undisclosed amount. I say we get an address of where we can send some $, we put our username on the memo line of the check and make this a memorable experience for NO SIR EE son and show everyone what VolNation and living this life about is all about.

I'm not a technology gifted individual, so if someone has an easier way to facilitate the giving...feel free to set it up..paypal or whatever.

Good luck NO SIR EE and God bless you Pacer...as for the negateers...ah well your are not worth the the effort to even bring up so forget it.

I hope this really is about your son and not just a scam, with the world we live in today I don't know who to believe.... I hope Pacer would be buying tickets for a family with a little boy that would make his day... I just dont think its right to use your little boy to get tickets jmho.

Kudos to you Pacer.

My family has been in a tough situation as well (my daughter was born with a serious heart defect back in Feb), and without the kindness and generosity of friends, family, and even strangers, we'd probably be in a situation more dire than I'd care to think about. I hope your kindness and generosity returns to you a hundredfold.

Kudos to all who possess the Vol Spirit in this thread! If freak sets something up I'd love to send 5 or 10 bucks. It would be awesome if we could identify needy families with children who want to go. With only 7 to 8 home games per year we could really take advantage of an opportunity to be a Volunteer. Would love to see the pics of these children living out a dream. I'm sure some teachers, cops, or public servants who post here could identify some families in need. Go Vols!

so these tix are for the NCS or UGA game? or for one in knox?

Brings up a good point, if the op would wait til the second or third game to take his son, tickets would be available outside in the 20 buck range. It's better to send the kids to an easy ( guaranteed win) game anyway. Yes I remember Wyoming and Memphis.

Shouldn't they be getting help in other ways? Boys and Girls clubs, Big Brothers/Big Sistsers, United Way, churches, etc... Don't they already provide services like this?

Well, I was leaning more towards the logistcal side of it. He's fairly close to Athens GA. After they lose three games before playing us, those tix should be really cheap :) Traveling to Knox would be at least a tank of gas plus extra food needed to be purchased (added expense rather than cooking at home... if things are so tight)

To my knowledge, the game is sold out.
